She simply turned off the lights, drew the curtains, and went to bed. She planned not to let him get his way. But she couldn't sleep. She quietly got up, opened the curtains, and peeked outside.

She found that Leopold's car was still there. Was he really planning on staying here all night?

She sighed, thought it over, and decided to go downstairs.

Once inside the car, Leopold pulled her into his arms. A devilish smile played on his lips, “I knew you'd come."

So he had her figured out?

She shot him an annoyed look, “I'm here for Kane. He's probably waiting for you to come home. Can't you be responsible as a father? Take care of Kane.”

He chuckled, “Don't worry. I waited until he was asleep before coming here.”

That was acceptable.

Aurelia rolled her eyes, "If I hadn't come, would you really not go back?"

“No, I wouldn't. We'll go to the office together tomorrow.” He was resolute.

Aurelia scoffed internally. Just because Megan was pregnant and couldn't satisfy his physical needs, he came looking for her to solve his issues.

Did he think he could have his cake and eat it too?

"If I'm so bad, why don't we cut ties completely? There are plenty of women who love you, you dont need me who doesn't love you." She retorted, sounding petulant.

Her words hit Leopold hard, causing a dull ache in his chest.

She could live without him, but he had long since become dependent on her. Just like plants needs sunlight, fish needs water. In love, the one who fell first lost. He had never lost before, but he lost to her.

"I don't care if you love me or not, you're destined to be my woman in this life.” He wasn't letting go.

Hearing his words, a bitter smile spread across Aurelia’s face. He didn’t love her, and he was just possessive.

He had made her his property, his trophy. She belonged to him and no one else.

"The saddest thing in my life was meeting you." she then said.

Leopold felt like he'd been stabbed. A pang of pain shot through his heart.

“We're destined to be entwined in this life, you'll just have to accept it"

He kissed her passionately, the pain in his heart echoing in his actions. If he hadn't been so careless in the past, allowing Arnold to swoop in and steal her heart, he wouldn't be in this mess now. He too had to accept his fate.

Aurelia didn't resist like before. She let him kiss her, lying still like a lifeless puppet.

She couldn't escape, so why put up a futile struggle? But she definitely wouldn't respond to him. She wouldn't let this philanderer get his way.

Even though it hurt Leopold, his desire quickly overtook him.

Her body was like opium, numbing his pain and making him forget everything else. He only wanted to drown in her.

Aurelia glanced at the monitor and found it was Avery.

In Blossom Villa, only Aurelia's room faced the courtyard. Everyone else's rooms faced the back garden.

Leopold always came late.

So no one in the villa knew he was outside, only Aurelia did.
