Chapter 544

Skyler lifted his head, tears turning into laughter, he relished praise.

"Angel, what's your favorite flower?”

Aurelia giggled, “I love strawberries because they bear fruit after flowering. Isn't that great?”

Skyler blinked, "Then I'll grow strawberries for you."

"Deal." Aurelia nodded with a smile.

After leaving the hotel, she went to Elysium Television station, where Avery was filming a variety show today.

Aurelia was familiar with the TV station staff and could easily come and go.

Backstage, she saw Leah, who was chatting with a few administrators of the fan club on WhatsApp. Seeing her, Leah flashed a smile, “Aurelia, you came to visit."

Aurelia patted her shoulder, “Avery will be filming for a while, and let's go to the cafe outside?" Sensing that Aurelia had something to discuss, Leah put down her phone and walked out with her. They arrived at the cafe on the ground floor of the building.

Aurelia ordered coffee and pastries.

"Leah, where are you from?"

Leah casually mentioned a city.

“And you only have a grandmother at home?"

"Yes." Leah glanced at her, sensing an unusual atmosphere. “Aurelia, what do you want to say?" Aurelia picked up her phone and opened the photos that Skyler had sent her.

"I discovered something interesting today. I have a friend, whose sister looks exactly like you. When I saw the photo, I was shocked. She wouldn't happen to be your twin sister, would she?"

Leah shuddered, glancing at the photo. Wasn't that herself?

Aurelia must have met her father and Skyler today.

"Aurelia." She pursed her lips, fidgeting with her hands, wanting to say something but choked, lowering her head, "I'm sorry"

Aurelia stirred her coffee nonchalantly, "Leah, you've kept this secret quite well.”

Leah lowered her gaze, her thick eyelashes casting two dark shadows on her pale eyelids, "If I reveal my identity, I can't be Avery's assistant anymore.”

Aurelia thought it for a while. Leah's point made sense. If the heiress of the Heninger family were Avery's assistant, the paparazzi would go crazy. It could easily become a TV drama story.

"You're well-off and educated, why be Avery's assistant?"

Leah took a bite of her pastry, speaking softly, “I came to Elysium for Avery. He saved me when I was little"

Aurelia was taken aback, "When was this? I don't remember."

Leah brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear, "When I was twelve, Dad took us on a vacation to the Maldives. I went swimming alone and got a cramp, almost drowned. Thankfully, Avery noticed and saved me.

You were there too, Aurelia. You even gave me mouth-to-mouth resuscitation”

Upon hearing this, Aurelia remembered. She and Avery were building sandcastles on the beach when they noticed a girl struggling in the water. Instinct told her the girl was drowning, so she sent Avery to rescue her and called for help.

So, the girl was Leah. No wonder she seemed familiar when they first met as if they had met somewhere before.

"Do you plan to keep this from Avery forever?"

Leah hung her head low, like a child who had done something wrong, “Aurelia, could you keep this secret for me? Please don't tell Avery. I'm afraid he'll be angry and won't talk to me anymore." Aurelia understood her concerns, so she said, "I can keep your secret for now, but truth can't be hidden forever.

When the time is right, you should tell him."
