Arnold was pleased to hear this because in his mind, William was his child, not Leopold's. Aurelia was also his, and he was determined to win her back, just like three years ago.

“Do you want to sleep with me tonight?”

“Yes!” William nodded eagerly.

William, sensitive as ever, noticed his discomfort. He patted Arnold's shoulder like an adult, “Daddy, don't be sad. Mommy will come back. After the stepmom leaves, we'll bring mommy back, and go back to Goldstone together.”

“Okay.” Arnold hugged him tighter, proud of William who always stood by his side because he raised and loved him from a young age.

When Aurelia entered the apartment and saw Kane was in the restroom, she said to Leopold, “Even though Arno and I are separated, he’s still my best friend, my family. I don't want to do anything to hurt him.”

Her words hit Leopold like a bullet, “Being with me is hurting him?”

Her expression slowly cooled, “We're in the cooling-off period, so I haven't agreed to reconcile with you."

Leopold felt a painful twist in his heart, “Are you still hoping Arnold will divorce and reunite. with you?"

“I'm not.” She replied without hesitation, “The moment he chose to marry Lisa, we were over. But he saved my life, and he cared for me tirelessly. When I was paralyzed, he encouraged me. And you, apart from throwing a divorce agreement at me, never gave me a single moment of warmth. So, at no time will I ever hurt him because of you.”
