Leopold's slender fingers tapped the desk lightly, his voice deep as he spoke, “This is not something you need to consult me on, Aurelia. You can go straight to the Commerce Department yourself.” Aurelia took a sip of water, trying to hide her frustration. If she could handle this herself, would she be here? Her bitterness was like a balloon, inflating uncontrollably.

This was an unfair competition. Evelyn was constantly using her relationship with Leopold to gain support, causing the old foxes in the company to favor her.

Leopold knew it but did nothing, sheltering and condoning it all.
