Jelena chuckled and handed her chocolate to Mira, "Here, you can have this one too." Mira didn't hesitate, reaching out to grab it, but Nina snatched it away before she could.

"That's for Lady Jelena, not for you. You can't have it," Nina scolded.

Mira pouted, "Then givea green one, please." She knew from her foodie experiences that green and red sweets never tasted the same, and she was eager to try both.

Nina shook her head, "l only have red ones left, no greens." "Why not give a red one to Ms. Jelena and she can givethe green?" Mira proposed with a sly grin.

Nina sighed in exasperation and grabbed Mira by the hand.

"No way, you're causing trouble." She dragged a protesting Mira outside.

Mira muttered with a sulky lip, "Geez, what's the big deal about swapping one?" "Zip it," Nina pinched her on the chubby hand, "You little glutton, you're such a goofball." Mira yelped in pain and withdrew her hand, blowing on it.

"You're so stingy, Nina." Jelena slipped the chocolate into her purse. She was on a diet and forbade herself the sweet treat, planning to give it to Fredric later.

Later, they all boarded a fishing boat to catch sfish out at sea.

Upon returning, a bodyguard approached them with alarming news. A couple had been found on the beach engaged in an indecent act when suddenly they started convulsing and frothing at the mouth. By the tthe ambulance arrived, they were both dead.

The police suspected poisoning and took the wife, who had caused a scene at the resort earlier, into custody as a suspect.

Nina felt a violent shudder through her body, clenching her heart with fear.

Could it be the people who ate her chocolates? She hadn't believed her mother's warnings and had used the couple to test the chocolates, never expecting they could be deadly poison! She had thought her mother's so-called poison would only cause stomach pains, not be lethal.

In a panic, she rushed to Jelena, "Lady Jelena, where's the chocolate I gave you?" "l... gave it to your dad," Jelena confessed.

Nina felt her world collapsing, her tears on the verge of spilling, "Why would you give it to dad?" Thinking she had upset Nina by not eating the chocolate, Jelena explained, "I can't have chocolate, so I passed it on to your dad." Nina stomped her foot in frustration and dashed to Fredric, "Dad, the chocolate Ms. Jelena gave you, did you eat it?" Fredric shrugged nonchalantly, "Mira wanted it, so I gave it to her." Nina seemed to faint. Mira, that little chocolate fiend, how could she be so ravenous? At that moment, Mira was frolicking on the beach with William.

Nina ran over and grabbed Mira, "Did you eat the green chocolate?" Mira blinked her big beautiful eyes and nodded, "Yeah, it was yummy." She beamed innocently, unaware of the turmoil she'd caused.

Nina burst into tears.

Was it over for Mira? She didn't want Mira to die. Despite always teasing Mira and calling her a goofball, Nina loved her Mira dearly.

Mira smacked Nina's forehead in exasperation, "Gee whiz, it's just a piece of chocolate, why are you bawling?" Nina's sobs grew louder. "You ninny, why are you such a piggy? I told you that chocolate wasn't for you. Your gluttony's gonna be the death of you." Mira puffed her cheeks, feeling utterly wronged. She couldn't understand why eating a single piece of chocolate had made her sister so mad.

"Stop crying, I'll buy you a whole box to make it up to you, okay?" William, standing by and clueless about the severity, figured it was all about a piece of chocolate gone wrong.
