Robert’s face was red with anger. Not only was Claire sitting beside him, but 

she had also seized control of the room. From the moment she stepped into the 

room, Robert was completely ignored.

With the share transfer agreement in hand, Matt blandly stated, “Now that Miss Claire Donovan owns 26% of all company shares, she is now Alpha Ventures‘ largest shareholder. She has the right to demand Mr. Robert Donovan to resign so that she may be chairman of the company.” 

However, Robert had not spent decades working in the corporate world for

Claire raised an eyebrow and nonchalantly responded, “That makes sense.“” 

Robert had not expected Claire to fall for his trap that easily.

of the conference room. 

Amos blinked and took a sip of his herbal tea to calm his nerves. Then, he heaved a sigh. “That girl seems different.” 

Charles nodded. “Yes. She has the same gut and spirit as her mother.” 

Robert kicked away the chair Claire had occupied and furiously glared at the men. “What do you mean by that, Amos, Charles?” 

“Nothing much,” Amos replied with a chuckle as he put down his glass. “Mr. Donovan, I was helping you just now. Everyone present knows that Solstice Industries holds a grudge against us. Claire only agreed to the challenge because she did not know that.” 

As for playing both sides and all that nonsense, well, he was the best at that game.
