Everything returned to normal, but there were questions left unanswered. The curse placed upon Daisy by Lavender had really affected Alpha Nick and Sheridan, influencing their mood.
Most of their fellow Alphas and Lunas, though wanting to ask about it, lost the courage to do so the moment their eyes set on the two.
Even the Alpha King and Arnold decided not to mention it. Warmth only returned when the announcement was made.
"It's a boy."
Everyone cheered since Goldie had been in labor during the dedication ceremony.
Hers was one of the quickest deliveries anyone had ever witnessed, but what they did not know was that Daisy had been in labor before they set off from the Dark Moon Pack.
She endured the pain just so she wouldn't miss the coronation ceremonies, but somehow things got out of hand, and the pain was more than she could bear.
Who knew that she was going to be among the few women who pushed out their babies so fast?
Sheridan's eyes were filled with tears of joy. "Daisy, your aunt just gave you another cousin. Are you ready to see him?"
The excitement on Daisy's face was not just priceless but equally infectious, wiping away her parents' worries.
"Yes. I want to see my new cousin." She was too young to understand the effect of the curse placed on her, and even if she did, it was something that would take at least fifteen years to happen.
The dedication of seven turned to eight since this was Goldie's birth pack. Beta Dustin was the proudest dad, instantly naming his baby Neil.
Alpha Nick was suspicious of his choice. "Why did you choose Neil? It almost sounds like Nick," Alpha Nick questioned. Beta Dustin smiled and retorted,
"Because you inspire me."
He was not born into the Dark Moon Pack, but when circumstances brought him there, Alpha Nick did not care about his birth origin and made him the beta because he was deserving of the position. Most people, including Athena, did not agree in the beginning, but Dustin's subordination caused those who had negative thoughts about it at first to shut their mouths.
Alpha Nick's eyes were teary as the pack broke into cheers. After refreshments and well wishes, the guests left, but it took another three days before Alpha Nick and his family returned to the Dark Moon Pack because of Goldie's condition.
They also could not leave her behind because they had come together and had to leave together
Athena received Neil from Goldie as soon as they arrived at the pack house, dancing like the proud grandmother she was.
"Finally, I have a grandson. Come here, Daisy, what is his name? Athena asked the little girl as she sat on the sofa to look at her carefully.
Neil was a carbon copy of his father, with blonde hair. Daisy held Neil's tiny fingers and answered, "Neil."
Athena chuckled, "Now it seems like Dustin was trying to name my grandson after my son. I thank the Moon Goddess for allowing me to see my grandson and daughter before the days of my gray hair," Athena said with teary eyes.

Everyone got emotional as Alpha Nick chastised her. "Stop speaking like that. You aren't dying anytime soon."
Athena was about to say that she mentioned gray hair and not death when Dustin blurted out, "I heard rumors that Lavender cursed Goldie. I just did not want to talk about it there
Goldie was worried and curious, and before she could ask, Athena took the words from her mouth.
"What is he talking about?" Athena grew anxious as Sheridan explained everything to her.
"We don't know how to reverse this curse, so can you help?"
Athena was confused by everything, asking, "Wait, are you telling me that Daisy blinded Lavender?" That was more surprising to her than the curse because Daisy was just too young. "Yes, and Lavender acknowledged that Daisy was stronger than her."
Athena was not surprised, but it seemed most people misunderstood what strength meant.
"That is true, but it's not yet time for her to manifest such strength and power. It's there, but she can't use it at this age."
"Then how did she manage to blind a witch?" Nick asked worriedly, feeling that something was being hidden from him.
Right now, he was not leaving the matter until it was completely dug out. He had to save his little princess from any form of curse, but Athena was clueless this time.
"I don't know. Her powers were supposed to ripen when she turns eighteen, and at that time, the likes of Lavender would not even be able to stand before her."
It was clear that Daisy had used her powers prematurely, and even with that, she was able to hit her target directly.
"So how do we stop her from using the powers? It can destroy her," Alpha Nick pointed out, adding, "now she is cursed with two mates.”
Athena realized where the confusion lay and began to explain it carefully to them.
"She wasn't cursed with two mates. The curse is only in her being blinded to them, but as soon as she falls in love with the right person, the curse would be broken."
It meant that Daisy was naturally blessed with two mates, but the curse was only in not recognizing them.
"So, two mates. Is it going to be like in my situation?" Alpha Nick asked. Athena shook her head.
Some things were better left unsaid, but Alpha Nick liked to dig, and Athena did not know how to stop him.
"Daisy has her own destiny. I don't have the powers to see into it but I know that she would find greater happiness than you both. Only the process might be painful.” Alpha Nick knew his mother very well. If she spoke like this, it meant she was hiding something
"Mom, I feel that you are hiding something. Tell me what I don't know. Did you have two mates too?" He asked. Athena stiffened at the question.
