"She hasn't eaten, cried, made a fuss, or slept throughout the entire journey. Is this normal?" Alpha Nick asked Sheridan, as she had spent the longest time with their daughter.

Sheridan looked behind at Daisy, and their eyes locked briefly before Daisy looked the other way, lacing the window of the car.

This was not the first time it had happened, and Sheridan was uneasy about the whole thing.

"Her attitude changed ever since our return, but before then, there were a few triggers. She began solids quite early and never even tasted breast milk. Do you think she's upset with me for keeping her from you?"

Sheridan could not forget that night at the airport Daisy was all fussy, but the moment she saw her dad, she was so composed that Sheridan felt betrayed.

She was trying to hide Daisy from Alpha Nick, whereas Daisy was looking for him. The mother and daughter seemed to desire different things.

"Did you ever apologize to her for it?" Alpha Nick asked seriously. Sheridan did not agree with him this time.

"Apologize to a baby? Are you serious?"

Alpha Nick chuckled and asked her, "Why is it so hard?" Then he thought about something and said, "Don't worry. I will teach you.

He parked the car on the

the shoulder of the road and turned to face Daisy. Holding her gaze, he spoke seriously,

"Daisy darling, I'm sorry for not being there when you were born and growing up, but I promise to make it up to you every day. I also promise that daily, we shall be training together. So do you forgive me?" Daisy beamed. Then the words escaped her. "Da...da."

Alpha Nick did not blame Sheridan for keeping Daisy from him. It was his fault for being blinded by Charlotte, that he lost Sheridan's trust.

As

such, he took it upon himself to take the blame.

However, that did not erase the fact that Sheridan kept Daisy away from her father. The little girl was just as vengeful as her mother.

hean?" Alpha Nick faced Sheridan and asked, but she still could not accept it

"See what I mean?" Alpha

"I don't think that's where the problem lies. She warmed up to you from the moment she saw you. I don't think she ever held anything against you."

Alpha Nick shook his head, recalling how he continuously apologized, not caring if Daisy understood him or not.

"I apologized to her in the car. Why is it hard? Just apologize to your daughter."

Sheridan did not see the need to not try and finally obliged. "Fine. I will show you it isn't that." She turned around and spoke to Daisy.

"Hey sweetheart, I'm very sorry for keeping your dad and grandparents away from you and raising you alone. A lot happened before you were conceived and even born. I hope that one day, when you are older you will be able to understand."

Sheridan could swear that Daisy's gaze on her was the longest it had been ever since she was birthed.

It was piercing in the beginning before it finally softened. Then her lips stretched, and she giggled. "Mama,"

Sheridan felt strange. Daisy's development was nothing she had ever heard about before. How could a small being like Daisy have such big emotions?

Chapter 133

"Do you believe me now?" Alpha Nick teasingly asked, Sheridan succumbed.

"You won."

Arriving at the Dark Moon pack, it was late, but the pack was well-lit with so much activity ongoing.

The pack members were well-dressed and standing on either side of the driveways. Daisy's eyes glued to the window of the car dood as she watched the pack members with great interest.

A smile pinned on her lips, unwavering until Alpha Nick drove slowly to the pack house, nodding his head in greetings to the pack members.

He was greatly touched by their act of welcome for Daisy. When he called Beta Dustin, all he wanted was for those awake to meet them at the frontage of the pack house, but things took a different turn from what he imagined it to be.

Athena, Tedmond, Goldie, and Dustin were all waiting at the entrance of the pack house with the pack members who had followed the car to the pack house.

As soon

n as the car stopped, Athena moved right to the back seat where Daisy

isy sat and opened the door.

Her heart warmed to know that her granddaughter would finally be with her for many years to come.

"Sweet little angel, do you remember grandma?"

Daisy beamed and extended both her tiny little hands. Athena realized that she already had six teeth in her mouth.

The last time she saw her, there were just two. She proudly carried Daisy in her arms. "At long last. I would never be bored again."

Alpha Nick and Sheridan addressed the pack members who were both excited and confused.

"I promised everyone that I had a surprise," Alpha Nick began and thought to explain it to them.

"In the course of chasing back my wife, a lot happened, and the pack happened to have an heir."

il gazes followed suit. "Meet Daisy, Thorax

He turned in the direction of her mother, and all gazes

The confusion outweighed the excitement. Though anxious for an heir, they never imagined it to be like this.

"Alpha, how is it possible? Do you mean that you and our Luna have a child already?" One of the pack members, a middle-aged man asked. 'Alpha Nick nodded his head and answered.

"Exactly what I'm talking about. We kept her secret because of Charlotte, and now that she's gone, you all deserve to know that we already have an heir."" Athena gave Daisy to Alpha Nick, and he lifted her above his head, facing the moon, but what happened next was even more surprising.
