Chapter 1

I was woken up by a huge wave of chills. I sat up shivering and sneezing. There were two female pack members standing in front of me

One of them had an empty bucket in her hand. It was then that I realized that my clothes were wet meaning the content was emptied on me

"She's finally up” one of them said "lazy ass bitch"

"Get up and make the leaders food!" The other shouted

Oh my gosh. I can't believe I over slept. That's it, I'm dead

I quickly got up and rushed out of the room all the way downstairs not minding how wet or cold I am

My name is Kathy Summer. My dad is alpha of the Red Moon pack. My mom is dead and ever since then my life has changed for the worst cause her death was partly my fault

The only memory of her I have is an old storybook she used to read to me as a kid. I read it every night before I go to bed.

I have a little brother named Mason. He's five years old.

I know you're wondering why I'm being treated as a slave since I'm the Alpha's daughter. Let me explain something to you, its a taboo for an alpha to give birth to a female child. We're considered useless.

Some Alphas even go as far as killing their daughters on the day of their birth but my mom didn't allow my dad do that to me. Daughters are useless, we can't lead or take over the pack.

My mom was the one who would protect me from my father's wrath but she's gone now. I'm all alone in this big world.

I have no friends or acquaintances. I'm 17 an I haven't seen found my mate yet. How pathetic could I get?

My life is miserable and sad. I get beaten up everyday. The only thing that keeps me going is my little brother. I have to be strong for him

"You're late” Noah, my older brother said as I entered the kitchen

They were both seated behind the counter. I gulped in fear

"I'm sorry sirs" I bowed

Without wasting any more time, I managed to prepare spaghetti for all the seven pack leaders in less than twenty minutes

I served them when I was done. I didn't get to eat any obviously

I also have to stand and wait for then to finish eating so I can wash the dishes. When they had finished, I hurriedly packed the plates and washed up in time.

I made my way upstairs to my room in order to prepare for school.

I really don't care about fashion. I only care about what covers up my bruises. Not like I have fancy clothes anyway. All I have are hand me downs from pack members who feel nice enough to give me clothes

I put on a white loose long-sleeved shirt with a pair of black unflattering jeans and black sandals.

I stared at myself in the cracked full-length mirror. I almost puked at the sight. How do I look? Disgusting

My eyes were too big for my face like all those anime characters you see on tv. I am so thin that it looks like I'm missing at least two ribs.

My blonde hair was chopped off in all the wrong places. I sighed at the memory

*flashback*

"I'm sorry” I cried. She punched me in the face again. I could already taste the blood

I am so clumsy and stupid. I bumped into one of the female pack warriors resulting to the breaking of the glass in her hand. To make it worse, she stumbled and fell on the broken pieces and injured herself in the process

She grabbed one of the broken pieces from the floor and yanked my hair tightly

"Please don't" I begged but it was too late.

She used the glass piece to cut my hair. When she was satisfied, she threw me on the ground "That'll teach you" she spat
