Chapter 2091: Scene in the Dream

Such a simple request? Summer nodded at his deep, gentle gaze and said, "Sure, I just made some soup." Her voice was as quiet as moonlight on rose petals. She sincerely wanted to apologize to him, so she was willing to invite him for dinner.

Hearing this, Spencer was particularly happy, but he couldn't show it. He just nodded calmly, "Alright, I'll come knock on your door later." He glanced at his watch, "11:30?"

"That's fine."

"Do you need help in the kitchen?"

"I'm cooking for you. If you help, then the favor is repaid, isn't it?" The girl shook her head. "So no need. The soup is already simmering; I'm not planning to make many dishes."

"That's perfect. I don't need many dishes," Spencer told her. "A bowl of soup is enough." Actually, he could drink water; as long as he could be with Summer, even drinking air would be fine.

Back in his room, Spencer felt as if his heart was filled with honey. Leaning against the closed door, he looked up at the ceiling with a beautiful smile on his lips.

It seemed Agnes hadn't told Summer the story he had shared. So she probably wouldn't mention it either?

So Spencer told himself to seize the opportunity! His brother was helping him, and so was heaven.

In the other room, although Summer didn't prepare many dishes, she still made two cold dishes with ingredients from the fridge.

If she didn't become friends with Spencer, every scene they filmed together in the future would be awkward.

The electric cooker slowly simmered black chicken mushroom soup... steam rising and filling the air with its aroma, teasing their taste buds.

At 11:30 sharp, there was a knock on the door. Spencer was indeed eager.

Summer had just placed the soup on the dining table. She turned to open the door and saw Spencer standing outside.

He was carrying a bag with several boxes of freshly cut fruit platters inside.

"The freshest fruits, just cut downstairs," Spencer said to her. "I hope you like them."

The girl opened the door wider. "Come in." She turned and walked inside without saying much more.

Spencer was really happy; this was already his second time entering today. Haha, wonderful!

Opportunities like today would hardly come again in the future. From tomorrow onwards, they would be busy with filming. But seeing her made him very happy.

Summer took out two sets of bowls and chopsticks; she had specially cooked sweet potatoes in the rice.

"Smells so good," Spencer said as he approached the dining table. "Turns out you're quite the chef; your cooking skills are great."

"I followed a video; it's simple. Anyone can do it," Summer said while serving rice. "Go wash your hands and stop complimenting me. Let's eat."

But today, he really wanted to praise her; she seemed especially kind-hearted.

Even though she wore casual home clothes, he couldn't help but steal a few more glances. When they were dating, Spencer had imagined such scenes.

He would handle things outside while Summer took care of things inside. Every day after work, he would come home to delicious meals she made herself. So today's scene felt somewhat unreal to him, like a dream.

They sat across from each other at the table, eating and discussing the script... this opened up their conversation and made things less awkward.
