Eirene: meaning peace (I chose this name because all she wanted was peace, comfort, so she chose a name that meant just that)

Cadmus: meaning excellence (he was perfect in every way until the end, Selene would only give Melinoe the best.) *

Makaria: meaning blessed death (a little hint to book 1.5 of the Underworld Series)

Zagreus: meaning reincarnation and rebirth

In the original Greek myths, Zagreus, Makaria, and Melinoe are siblings under Persephone and Hades. I took this and ran. Throughout the story, I tried to put in some myths to help really solidify the Greek pantheon in this world.

The world is set up to have modern day marvels, such as electricity, but also hold governments associated with fantasy, the Renaissance, and medieval times with a monarchy.
