Chapter 39 

Rina simply looked at Sally without any response. 

Kara interjected, “Mama, Rina’s father is that bad guy who bullied you.” 

Bullied her? 

Sally was taken aback and Howard’s image flashed through her mind, widening her eyes in shock. 

Rina’s father was Howard? 

So, Rina’s mother was Grace? 

Grace, who framed her all those years ago, turned out to be with Howard. No wonder Grace and May appeared during her delivery. 

That child, her lost child, didn’t actually die but was taken away by Grace. 

“Rina!” Sally reached out and embraced Rina in her arms, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably. 

Her child, her child hadn’t died. 

As Sally held Rina in her embrace, Rina stirred slightly. And there seemed to be a glimmer of expression in her eyes. 

Mia and Kara exchanged a glance. Then looked at the excited Sally, clueless about the situation. 

After a while, Sally released her hold on Rina and carefully examined her. “Rina, how have you been all these years?” she asked. 

Rina simply stared at her without any reaction or response. 

Sally furrowed her brow, sensing that something was wrong with Rina. 

Sally looked at the wounds on Rina’s body, her eyes stinging and tears streaming down uncontrollably. 

Chapter 39 

Scarlet, standing nearby, witnessed the distressing injuries on Rina and felt a deep sense of compassion. “How can someone be so heartless to inflict such severe harm on a child?” 

Mia and Kara gazed at the injuries on Rina’s body, their eyes becoming moist. 

Kara, in particular, was furious. “Rina’s wicked mother is truly cruel.” 

“No, she is not Rina’s mother,” Sally exclaimed angrily. At that moment, a surge of anger welled up inside her. 

Mia and Kara were taken aback by her outburst. 

Sally made an effort to restrain herself and calm down. “Mia, Kara, Rina is your biological sister. Only when you share the same father and mother are you triplets 

and look alike.” 

Mia and Kara were shocked by this revelation. 

They had always thought that as long as they shared the same father or mother, they would look alike. 

“Mommy, what should we do now? Rina was taken by us, Mia and me. If the wicked lady finds out, will she come looking for us? Shouldn’t we take Rina back to France?” Kara anxiously voiced her concerns. 

Sally’s brow furrowed, her voice low. “I’m afraid it’s too late now.“” 

Given the power of the Logan Family, once the child goes missing, they would launch a city–wide search. They might be caught even before boarding the plane. 

“Rina!” Sally stepped forward and embraced Rina, softly comforting her. “Don’t be afraid, mommy won’t let you leave my side again.” 

She was determined to do everything in her power to prevent Rina from being mistreated again. 

Rina seemed to feel Sally’s comfort, and her eyes showed a slight response. 

The Logan Family Manor. 

“Are you all a bunch of idiots? Can’t you even keep an eye on a child?” Amanda 

yelled at the servants. 

Now that Rina was missing, how was she going to explain it to Howard and her mother–in–law? 

The scolded servants hung their heads and remained silent. 

If Grace had any sense, did that little wretch run away from home? 

Good riddance, it would be best if she died out there. 

That way, she could have a child with Howard that belonged to just the two of 

them.
