It has been almost five years since I took on the role of Syrus’s luna and I can safely say, the darkness in me has been thoroughly vanquished. We have made several trips to the neighboring packs and they all welcomed me, all but Alpha Daniels and his pack. They still believed it was blasphemy for the alpha to be mated with not only a witch, but the Dark Enchantress herself.

A year after I stepped forward as luna, we made the journey to Broch Pack’s territory and I met with Luna Nadia and Alpha Lynch. During our stay, I also met Barsali, Manfri, Danoir and Emiliano, but Kezia could not come to terms with my past and refused to be present. I had expected them to feel hatred when they saw me, my presence a reminder of the darkest moment of their lives, but when Manfri approached me and pulled me into a tight hug, my fears were vanquished. I had cost the man his mate, well, the darkness within me had, but he forgave me.

I also had the pleasure of meeting the children of Liam and Nadia. Their adopted son and daughter, Jackson and Lilian, as well as their son Preston, and twin daughters, Anabelle and Isabelle.

Some of my memories from my previous life have resurfaced since the day my identity was revealed, but they no longer plague my dreams. When we returned from our travels, I had begun to write down the memories as they awakened, a dark testament to just how far my torment had aided in my fall into the darkness. While my life in the coven was unpleasant, it is clear that this time around, my life was not so bad.

The council had welcomed me as the luna of our pack without question or judgement, something I had not initially expected. Thanks to a lot of help from Lauren and a little training from our surprise guest, Avalon, I have become much more powerful than I ever imagined. While Syrus has been the most amazing mate one could ask for, I had been struggling with not fulfilling one of my more important rolls as his luna, but all of that is about to change. With the future heir to the alpha title now held snugly inside me and Syrus’s constant light keeping the darkness at bay, I realize just how right Syrus had been that day at the stream. The only person who could continue to punish me for my past sins is me and I will no longer believe myself to be defined by my past choices, but will forever hold them as a reminder of why it is so important to never give up, to never let go of what brings me happiness and to never let the fear of my past rule the outcome of my future.
