Ch 14

Misty pov

As we get near the cave I can see the other girls standing around looking for me. I tell Baphomet to hang back so I can smooth everything over. When I walk up I go running up to the girls and exchange hugs and explain what is going on, they instantly turn white and hiss at me and know that I must have gone crazy. I feel myself snap back and hiss.

I see the Moon goddess emerge from the cave and go touch my forehead to hers. She then leans back and nods. I look towards the tree line and nod my head and soon Baphomet emerges and starts walking towards us. The guards start to get ready when the Moon goddess tells them to relax and stand down.

“Baphomet, never in a million years did I ever think I would see you without fighting you. So why change now?”

“Because my daughter is the keeper of life. I cannot and will not kill my own daughter. No matter what the stakes are, it’s not worth it anymore. But this isn’t me doing this, Raston is working with a power higher than me.”

“Do you know who he is working with?”

“It’s Lucifer, I told him I couldn’t go through with it anymore.”

“Then we must prepare for a long fight to come. Come let’s get started with the ceremony.”

She motions for everyone to go inside and soon we hear more hissing and growling when everyone else sees Baphomet. Including Tarnac and Trinity.

Trinity pov

The moment I see my mom walk in with Baphomet all hell breaks loose. Everyone is hissing and I feel myself snap into defense mode looking straight at him. The moment he locks eyes with me he puts his hands behind his back and bares his neck to me showing his vulnerability. I snap back looking in confusion when the Moon goddess explains what is going on.

“Baphomet is no longer working with Raston and Lucifer. In retaliation Lucifer and Raston will be coming for Trinity to stop the ceremony. We must at all costs have the ceremony complete the transformation.”

“Transformation? To what now?”

“Don’t worry Tarnac, you will be fine. Ok girls lets get everything set up. Trinity love we need to to lay on the table on your stomach with your face facing the door. Ok girls lets get the flowers around and you will be surrounding her on the table all facing the door.”

We see everyone start scrambling onto the huge table and I climb up onto the table and just place my face on my hands watching everything.”

Next thing I know is my chin is lifted and I’m looking straight at Baphomet. I take a visible gulp and just look up at him.

“Nothing has ever made me prouder in life than to know my only daughter is about to get the highest honor in being the protector of life.”

“Thanks dad.”

“We must hurry, evil is gathering out front and will soon start the attack. Men you need to block the best you can from them getting inside. When I yell to drop you must drop to the ground. Misty takes the other moms and backs up the men. You guys can keep Raston at bay but will only slow down Lucifer. Tarnac gets above Trinity and kneels over her when I say now bite into her neck, and claim her. Girls get ready to tap into the powers that be to stop Lucifer.”

I feel Tarnac take his place and everything gets quiet when the men in robes circle around us and there has to be two dozen of them, they start chanting and you can see their mouths moving but there’s no sounds. I’m trying to comprehend what is going on when my attention is snapped to the doors as a loud growl erupts through the air. I feel my body snap to defense when I start hissing.

I feel a change in Tarnac above me when he snaps also and starts hissing and growling above me. I can feel the growl rumble through his body and through me which is raising my temperature. My body heat rising is making Tarnac adjust himself above me because I can now feel the hate coming off of him. I study on the door as the girls start chanting around me and it’s almost as if everything goes slo motion. I can feel the energy filling the room when I start screaming at the door.

“Now Tarnac!”

I feel a piercing to my neck which makes everything go dark. I feel my body reacting to the intenseness of the situation, but I can’t see what is going on. In an instant I’m being marked and next thing I now I feel myself being picked up and slung over a shoulder. I can feel myself being carried but have no clue what is even going on. I can tell it’s not Tarnac or anyone I know. I’m trying to fight it, but my body isn’t reacting. I keep telling it to fight and everything is useless.

I keep trying to fight this thing, whatever and whoever it is but it’s no use. I just hang there until I feel myself slowly being dropped onto a bed and something crawls on top of me. It’s still so dark and I try to fight to get them off but my body isn’t responding. Why is it not fucking responding?

“The moment I saw you, I knew I didn’t want to kill you but make you mine. Did they really think they could defeat me? That they even had a chance to stop me? Yet I know you are marked by your mate, but you didn’t not mark him back yet. So there is still time. I want you to be mine so we can rule this world together. To have everyone bow and kneel to us.”

“Look, I have no clue who you are, nor can I see you, but I can guarantee you will not get me to be your mate. Not now nor ever.”

“Oh my apologies! How is this?”

I hear a snap of fingers, and all of a sudden my vision comes back. I’m looking straight into the face of the one and only Lucifer. I feel myself get defensive and turn white while barring my fangs. He instantly turns black with red eyes and fangs protruding towards me.

“I will never be your mate!”

“See you can try to fight me all you want, but I can guarantee you will want to be with me.”

I see him lean over and slowly lick over the mark of Tarnac and I instantly cringe. He then leans back smirking at me and goes for the other side of my neck when I feel his fangs bury themselves deep in my neck. I scream out crying at the top of my lungs and it just falls on deaf ears. There’s no one around to hear me or protect me.

I close my eyes as the tears fall down my face when I feel his fangs retract. I open my eyes staring straight at him, and I feel myself dying inside.

“Why? Why are you doing this?”

“You’ll be mine Trinity! I know you don’t want to be with me now, but give it time. You will see we can do so much together. We can be amazing and rule everything and everyone.”

I watch him slowly climb off of me and snap his fingers. All of a sudden I can move and scramble off the bed away from him looking for some kind of exit.

“You won’t find anywhere to run to. I can take you back to him, but since I’ve marked you he will not be able to touch you. Or you can stay here. You will have free reign of the palace, but there is no escape from here. The only way to get in and out is through me.”

“You’re lying! There’s no way you have this much power. To make it so my mate can’t even touch me!”

“You think I’m lying? You want to go back and test it?”

In an instant we are outside the cave. And I can see everyone panicking looking for me.

“Tarnac and Baphomet! Get out here!”

I see everyone running towards me when my mate and dad make their way to the front with my mom. Tarnac tries to touch me but is instantly burned. Same with my mom and dad. I start panicking when the Moon goddess comes forward.

“Lucifer you didn’t! Tell me you didn’t mark her!”

I look at Tarnac when my hair is lifted on both sides showing both marks. I see Tarnac drop to his knees growling out loud making the ground shake. I feel an arm go around my waist when he leans down licking over his mark.

“She will have a very hard choice to make. Her mate or me. She will be back soon with her decision.”

Then it went dark and I felt my body being laid down onto a bed. I need to rest right now. I want my mate back but Lucifer will do anything to stop it.
