He strode over and gently patted Steven's shoulder. "We did all this for you-you shouldn't be ungrateful. And besides, that woman is using you. She's still in love with Luke; she has no feelings for you at all. You...”

Steven closed his eyes and let out a bitter chuckle.

Were these the only things they cared about?

Denise was en route to the hospital.
