"Mama, you need to stop his ball!" Chloe shouted.

"It doesn't feel good if you don't try to stop it!" Chris said.

"Huh? I need to stop it?" Anne said dazedly, "Let's start over, then?"

She went to take the ball and kicked it toward the triplets, who ran after it right away.

Chloe did not know how to play football, so she could only run after it.

Anne stood in front of the net as the goalkeeper.

"Mama, here I come!" Charlie shouted.

Anne leaped into action and kicked at the ball flying toward her and sent it away from the net.

She stared at the ball and her heart sank when she noticed that it was flying toward Anthony. Anthony stepped on the ball and stopped it.

"Papa, give it back!"

The triplets ran toward it and just when they were about to reach him, he kicked the ball away. "Ah! My football!"

Anne pursed her lips and wondered if Anthony took her children for puppies that he could toy with; nonetheless, the way her children ran after the football was still extremely adorable.

Anthony stayed outside the field the entire time Anne was playing with the children and simply blocked the ball when it was about to be kicked out of the lines.

Time passed within a blink of an eye and Anne did not realize how long she had been there until Hayden told them that lunch was ready.

She wiped the sweat off her forehead and realized that she must be flushed like the triplets.

"You three go ahead. I need to go back now," she said.

"Ms. Vallois, why don't you stay with the children for lunch before leaving?" Hayden said, "The food is ready and I'm sure they would be overjoyed to eat with their mother.”

"Mama, you are not eating with us?"

"I'm not eating, then!"

"Mama, don’t go!"

Anne shot Anthony a troubled glance. She wanted to stay, but it was not a decision she could make alone.

"You can leave if you don't want to stay,” Anthony said coldly.

Worried that the children would be upset, Anne said hastily, “I want to stay! Of course, I want to stay with them for lunch!"

"Mama, let's go!"

The three grabbed Anne's hands and Chloe turned to grab Anthony's hand as well, before heading inside for lunch.

Anne was slightly moved by how her children were acting, but simply lowered her gaze. The best she could do was to visit her children as frequently as possible so that when Anthony married Bianca, she could still take care of the triplets.

On the dining table...

"Mama. I'm sick. Here, here, and here...I am getting a lot of pimples!" Chloe pointed at her face, arms and neck.

"Yeah, Chloe can't eat seafood!" Charlie said.

"We won't eat seafood again!" Chris said.

"Remember not to eat seafood even if someone out there offers it to you,” Anne reminded them. "We know what seafood is!" Charlie said.

"How smart!" Anne said.

Anthony's phone vibrated and he took it out to answer the call.

"Mr. Marwood,"” Kathryn said, "the result of the paternity test came back. Mr. Nigel Faye is not related to Ms. Vallois, which means that he’s not her father.”
