'So what if you found out about the truth? We have been married for over twenty years and that's how long our daughter has been calling you her Dad. You can't be so merciless to us simply because she isn't yours by blood. I still resent you for it,” Dorothy thought.

When Anne arrived in Luton, it was early in the morning.

After landing, they were about to get into the car when Anne said to Anthony, "You should go first. My Mom and I will go later.”

She knew for sure that Dorothy and Bianca were in the hospital, and if she appeared with Anthony, there was bound to be conflicts; with her father still in the operation room, she would very much like to avoid causing a scene.

Anthony shot her a look, before getting into his car and leaving.

Not only did Anthony have his own private jet, he had an airport to himself as well, with a few cars in the garage.

The bodyguard stood by the side and waited for Anne and Dorothy to get into one of the cars. The two got in and Sarah asked, "where are we going?"

"Let's go home first,” Anne said.

Sarah noticed the odd look on Anne's face, but suppressed the urge to ask about it.

Once they arrived at Sarah's mansion, the bodyguard drove away and Sarah blurted out asking, "Where did you tell Anthony to go first? Did something happen?”

"Mom, Dad has been in a car accident.”

"Wh-What?" She stuttered.

"His car was hit by a big truck and he's currently still in the operation room. We are going to take your car to the hospital to see him, okay?"

"Is it bad?" Sarah asked nervously.

"I don't know..."

"How...how could this happen? Why would he be in a car accident?” Sarah fell into a daze.

"Mom, don't panic. It's going to be alright,” Anne consoled her, and tried to calm herself as well at the same time

They got into Sarah's car and headed out to the hospital.

Outside the operation room, stood Anthony and Bianca, who was sobbing, along with Dorothy and Oliver.

As soon as Dorothy saw them, her expression darkened. "Who asked you to be here?"

"I'm his daughter and my Mom is here to keep me company. Is there an issue?" Anne questioned coldly.

"Alright, stop arguing.” Bianca stared at Anne with annoyance. "Why are you causing a scene? Don't you know that Dad is still inside?"

Anne glared at Bianca expressionlessly, impressed by how good Bianca was at pointing the blame at someone else when she was the source of conflicts herself.

"When did you come back? How did you find out about Dad?" Bianca asked suspiciously.

Anne and Sarah appeared half an hour after Anthony arrived, and she could not help but feel skeptical.

Anthony glanced at Anne with amusement, showing no intention in helping to explain at all.

Sarah could not think of a way to answer Bianca's question without allowing her the opportunity to humiliate Anne.

"Xander told me," Anne said calmly.

"Xander?" Bianca repeated in shock. She knew about Xander and Oliver and glanced at Anthony pointedly. "I remember that Xander is your supervisor. Why is he involved in your private matters? Have you two always been that close?"

Oliver looked at Bianca expressionlessly.

"How is that any of your business? If you are trying to be sarcastic, you should save it!" Anne shot her a nasty look.

"Why you..." Bianca turned to Anthony with a pout. "Just look at how horrible her temper is. Forget about me, but how can she be so insolent and disrespectful in front of you? I'm just worried about her. Am I wrong?"

"Leave her be," Anthony said coldly.
