Anne had no idea where her father got such confidence to think that Bianca would take care of her when she was ill.

"What?" Nigel was so shocked that he almost lost control of the steering wheel

“I remember there are eggs.”

"Are you going to eat eggs for three meals a day?”

“I won't question how you lived your life in the past, but you can't be like that anymore in the future.”

“Oh.”

Nigel stuffed and packed her fridge. There were so many layers of food. The vegetable and the meat were separately placed. Some were frozen and some were chilled.

“Dad, how long am I supposed to be having these?”

“It's fine. They won't spoil within a short time.” Nigel put everything nicely for her and then told her how to make a simple yet nutritious meal if she was afraid it would be too troublesome before he finally shut the door of the fridge. Looking at how thin his daughter was, he asked, “Have you spoken to your mother on the phone?”

“I've contacted her, but I didn't tell her I was ill.”

Nigel knew that she was used to being independent.

He could tell from the fact that she insisted on staying on her own.

"Alright. Go rest then. I'll be heading back now. Call me if there's anything.”

“I will.”

She said that, but Nigel knew Anne would not call him even if something was bothering her. She would not even tell Sarah, let alone him!

Nigel's expression was solemn. He did not say anything anymore and left the apartment.

Anne returned to the room and heard her phone ringing.

It was Anthony calling.

She answered it and Anthony's deep voice could be heard coming from the phone. “What do you want for lunch?”
