Nigel glared at her warningly.

Noises came from outside the door and the waiter opened the door.

Anthony walked in and Anne tensed up when she spotted him. She glanced behind him, but did not see her children anywhere.

When their eyes met, she desperately wanted to look away, but at the same time, she eagerly wanted him to see how much she had suffered for the sake of her children.

Anthony simply ignored her and went to sit down next to Bianca. "I'm sorry I was late. I was a little caught up at work. Have you waited long?" 2

The smile on Bianca's face deepened. "No. We have just arrived as well and were just talking to Anne! She's just gotten out of the hospital, so we

were all worried about her.”

Anne stared at Anthony and inevitably noticed their joined hands and the engagement rings on them.

Nigel called the waiter over to start serving the food.

Soon, the dishes were served and they realized that they were all seafood.

"I can't eat seafood,” Anne said. She would not have mentioned it if she was the only one who had an allergy, but Nigel had the same allergy as well.

Nigel stared at Dorothy with a dark expression.

“I'm so sorry. I forgot that you cant eat seafood,” Dorothy said apologetically. "Bianca told me before and I just forgot. You won't be mad at me, would you, Anne? What do you want to eat? I will order it for you."

Sarah suppressed her anger and faked a smile. "It's alright.”

Just as Anne wondered why her mother had suddenly acted so calmly, Sarah continued, "We didn't come here to eat, anyway. You can have the leftovers once we are done with settling everything!" Anne turned to look at Anthony and asked nervously, "Are the kids alright? Are they getting used to living in the Royal Mansion? Can I go see them today?"

Anthony stared at her sharply. "Have you forgotten about what I said to you that night?"

Anne paled

Bianca thought to herself, “That night? When did they meet? Was it in the hospital..."

Anthony looked away coldly, before declaring authoritatively, “The children are my legacies and anyone who tries to take them away without permission will suffer the consequence. As far as my engagement with Bianca, I believe that she's made her choice.”

Bianca held onto Anthony's hand tightly. "This is not Anthony's fault, because he didn't even know that the kids existed. I don't mind and my engagement with Anthony will not be affected by this."

Anne bit on her lower lip and thought, “That's right. It's not Anthony's fault. I was the one who hid the kids from him. Bianca is just dying to let me take the blame!’

"You can't possibly think that the kids grew up on their own up until now, can you?" Sarah said. "My Anne suffered through so much to care for them. It's bad enough that you took the children away. Who do you think you are doing to forbid her from seeing them?"
