Oops, I’ve Been Exposed
Chapter 46 by Lorelei Thunder

Pamela was elated as she looked at Kurt gratefully. Kurt was bewildered. Why did his dad just say that he couldn’t do it? What was going on?

“You did it, Mr. Donnel! It’s all thanks to you,” Miriam said excitedly.

Kurt nodded as he said shamelessly, That’s nothing. It was a piece of cake.”

He thought that his dad must have misunderstood him and thought that young people like Helen wouldn’t respect him.

After all, most young people looked down on the older generation as they felt that their thinking was too old- fashioned. Kurt didn’t expect Helen to value the older generation so much, so it was a nice surprise. If that was the case, then Kurt definitely had to take credit for that.

“This way please, Ms. York,” Jessie said courteously, directing the bodyguards to clear a path for them. The guests in line looked at them in admiration.

Kurt was arrogant, and his face was filled with glee as he strode haughtily through the crowd, basking in the envied gazes.

Meanwhile, Woody was hanging out inside. This was his first time attending an event of this scale, and he found it quite interesting.

While he was downstairs, Clement arrived at the office on the second floor. “Ms. Helen, Mr. Henderwood has arrived. He politely declined your invitation to meet him downstairs.”

“Got it. Guide him to his seat. It’s the seat at the center of the first row, marked by a golden chair,” Helen instructed. Then, she got up and walked up to the window.

She wanted to see what was so special about Pamela, the beautiful president who had the honor of being the wife of the miracle doctor who was also the Majestic Ruler.

“She does look quite pretty, and she carries herself well. But she’s still below him.”

Even though Pamela was far better than the others in terms of looks and makings, she was still quite common.

Although Pamela was too good for the usual rich guys or sons of officials, she had married the powerful and famous Majestic Ruler.

A woman from a normal family would feel out of place if she suddenly became the esteemed lady of a noble family, but Pamela had gotten even further by getting married to a king. People wondered how she managed that.

“Hold on, something’s off!” Helen wasn’t just smart. Her eyesight also far surpassed her peers. She immediately noticed something odd.

“Why is she so close to Kurt, who’s known for being a flirt? Isn’t she worried that Mr. Henderson might get upset?”

Even a sociable woman wouldn’t allow herself to be so close to men other than her husband in front of others, let alone in a place like this where all eyes were on her. Helen frowned a little as doubt crept into her mind.

Jessie led Pamela to the first row. All the seats there were bright wine red, but one was gold. It stood out quite a lot.

“Ms. York, this is your seat,” Jessie said, pointing at the seat next to the golden chair.

Pamela instantly felt flattered. “I don’t think that it’s appropriate. What right do I have to sit here?”

Smiling, Jessie said, “This is a seat Ms. Cartwright specially arranged for you.”

The Cartwrights were the ones who held the charity event today, so people would think that the golden chair belonged to the organizer, Helen.

Pamela didn’t even dare to imagine herself sitting next to Helen. She felt lucky just sitting in a spot closer to Helen, even though it was with Kurt’s help.

“Just take it, Pamela. If not, you’ll be letting Ms. Cartwright’s goodwill go to waste,” Kurt coaxed.
