Sierra slipped her mask back on. Her fingers trembled as she clutched the items in her hand before leaving the room.

She crept over to Katherine's bedroom door and nudged it open, just a crack. The sight that greeted her ignited a wildfire of jealousy in her chest. Katherine, with her rosy cheeks and delicate beauty, looked as if she hadn't a care in the world. How was it fair that the inferno hadn't claimed her life? How could she, even with a new face, still be so enchanting?

Even with her memory gone, without her original features, Katherine still held Teo's heart. Sierra's heart twisted with bitterness at the thought. All of it was just too much to bear.

She moved closer to Katherine's bedside. Her fingers wrapped tightly around the scalpel she'd pulled from her pocket. One swift cut, she thought, and this bitch would never ensnare Teo again.

Gritting her teeth, she plunged the scalpel into Katherine's belly, not once, but twice. Blood, bright and shocking, began to flow freely from the wounds. Sierra stumbled backward. Her eyes were a mix of panic and triumph.

She couldn't help but hiss, "You should have perished in that fire. But it doesn't matter now, does it? You're dead by my hand. Let's see you try to tempt Teo now!"

"He's mine, and you'll never take him from me - not in this lifetime!"

After spewing her venom, Sierra stuffed the scalpel and gloves into her bag and turned to leave. But then, a chilling voice stopped her in her tracks.

"Sierra, all your scheming couldn't kill me then, and it won't now!"

Whirling around, Sierra dropped her bag in shock. Katherine, drenched in blood, was rising from the bed, approaching step by step.

Sierra shook her head frantically. "Don't come any closer. If you do, I swear, you won't even have the chance to haunt me."

With a mocking laugh, Katherine retorted, "Oh? Let's see about that."

She struck Sierra hard across the face. Her blood splattered onto Sierra's clothes. Sierra, staring at the still-bleeding Katherine, couldn't believe her eyes.

"Are you human or a ghost? How can you not be dead after all those stabs? It's impossible!"

Katherine's smile was ghastly. "Because, dear, I'm not meant to die. You are."

Delivering another slap, Katherine watched as the room suddenly flooded with light. Two figures emerged from behind the curtains.

Sierra staggered back, collapsing to the floor, incredulous. "How... how are you here?"

Teo stepped forward. His voice was dark and foreboding. "Sierra, if I didn't set this trap, how could I catch you red-handed? Now tell me, why did you try to kill Katherine?"

In that moment, Sierra realized the web she'd walked into. It was Teo, pushing her to the edge with talks of divorce, only to lure her into his carefully laid plans.

After understanding it, Sierra let out a derisive laugh.

"Teo, who's Katherine? Was there ever such a person? You accuse me of killing someone who never existed."

"Still trying to deny it, Sierra? You orchestrated that fire years ago, aiming to kill Katherine and her child, didn't you?"

Unfazed, Sierra shot back, "Any evidence? I was kidnapped with your son and daughter, too busy to kill anyone. Don't make false accusations."

Just then, Katherine opened her robe to reveal her bleeding wounds.

"If there's no evidence from the past, what about now? These wounds were inflicted by you, just moments ago."

With those words, Katherine's strength ebbed away, and she collapsed.

Brodie rushed to her side, panic-stricken. "Mom, the blood pack? The protective vest? Why aren't you wearing them?"

Katherine's face was ashen as she looked at Brodie. "Only this way could we ensure her guilt. I couldn't let her harm lan and Clara any longer."

After saying that, she slowly closed her eyes.
