Clara served as Sasha's attorney.

Waking up that morning, she caressed her growing belly, a blissful smile reflecting in the mirror as she gazed at her own image.

Whispering softly, she murmured, "Baby, as soon as mama wraps up this case, we'll leave this place with your daddy. I can't wait." The thought of marrying lan and the prospect of their little family living happily together sent waves of excitement through Clara.

Just then, her phone buzzed with lan's call. His voice, deep and husky with a hint of mesmerizing charm, vibrated through her ear. "Mrs. Hayes, are you ready to take the child and elope with me?" he teased. Clara chuckled, "I'm all set, Mr. Hayes. I'll follow your lead."

lan couldn't hide his joy. "Such a good girl deserves a reward. I'll see you soon."

He emphasized "reward" with a suggestive tone that sent a shiver down Clara's spine. "I have a trial soon, no time for rewards," she replied, playfully feigning disappointment.

"We'll celebrate after you win your case. I'm almost at your place. Get ready to come out."

Clara hung up and descended the stairs. Casey lounged on the sofa, newspaper in hand.

"Dad, we'll grab dinner after the trial," Clara said.

"Drive safe, sweetheart."

Clara donned a brown cashmere coat. Her hair was casually tied in a bun, and her face was lightly made up. Pregnancy had only enhanced her natural radiance.

Approaching Casey, she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Don't worry, dad. Ian's got me covered."

Casey felt a surge of joy. "Nothing makes me happier than seeing you two together, with a little one on the way. It's like my heart's been healed."

As they chatted, a sleek black Rolls-Royce Cullinan rolled into the driveway. Clara released her father, her smile broadening. "See you later, dad. Wait for my triumphant return." "Will do, pumpkin."

Clara waved goodbye and stepped out to meet lan, who swept her into his arms, kissing her forehead.

"Aren't you cold dressed like that?" he asked.

"Pregnant women run warm. Didn't you know?" Clara teased.

"Then why are your hands so cold? Get in the car." lan ushered her inside, cranking up the heat.

Casey watched them drive off. His heart was warmed by the sight of his daughter with a man who cherished her so deeply. Amidst his contentment, Casey's phone rang. His face turned pale as he answered the call.

Meanwhile, Clara entered the courtroom, spotting Paolo with his lawyer. His gaze flicked over her with a venomous sneer. "Clara, I gave you a chance. You refused. Don't blame me for what's next," he said before taking a seat in the gallery with cool composure.

Unfazed by his threat, Clara took her place at the plaintiff's bench.

The trial proceeded smoothly. Clara was sharp. Her evidence hit Heidi's weak spots hard. Just as victory seemed assured, Heidi exploded with rage, hurling accusations at Clara. The opposing counsel called for a recess.

Clara knew it was a stalling tactic and remained calm, returning to her seat. But as soon as she sat down, her phone rang - it was her father.

"Miss, your father's in critical condition. You need to come home now."
