I got through the worst day and the next day got better by small increments. I am learning to tolerate seeing Logan and Kim being all huggee and smoochy to each other. I am even paying attention in class and actually learning something. I got through Chemistry with Logan underfoot every second and even managed to joke with him and his friends at gym.

The school day is finally over and Tori and I are heading home. Mom is home from a 24 hour shift and I hope I get to talk to her some before she crashes. I walk through the door and Mom meets me with a hug. I hug her back and pull her into the kitchen to update her on what has been happening. She is happy I am learning to tolerate the situation so well. She let me know that she is going to crash after supper but if I need to talk she is here for me.

Dad made a big pot of chili so we could eat on our own schedule tonight. He had to go help Aunt Kara train at the Crescent Moon pack for a few days. I know he misses her even though he doesn't say much. They traveled together for a couple years when they were younger.

After supper Tori and I went into town to grab some ice cream at the local DQ and checked at the local theater to see what would be playing Saturday. Tori glanced up to the front of the building and gasped. She nudged me and pointed. Logan and Kim were in a major lip lock in front of the building. I tried to act like it wasn't a big deal so I shrugged and we went home.

I called one of the pack warriors, Jake, to take me on a run. No unmated females were allowed to run without a mated male with them. Even though the general public knows about shifters now and the laws protect us from hunters there is still a slight danger from rogues. Jake is to meet me in our back yard. I stand there waiting for him in my robe ready to shift.

Frustration and pain rage through my system and I punch a tree. Ok, not the brightest thing I have ever done, that hurt! I broke a finger too, luckily we heal fast so I popped it back in place. The bleeding already stopped by the time Jake shows up to take me on the run. I disrobe and shift behind a tree and my wolf howls with joy as I let her take over and run out my frustrations in the woods with my escort. I sleep well after the run and wake up in the morning feeling relaxed and refreshed.

I shower and get ready to go to the movies with Tori. We decided to go see the new action movie out since neither one of us was in the mood for a romantic chick flick. Min is going with her Dad to see colleges that she is interested in locally. She will also get a chance to visit the packs around the area since she is close to 18 too.

The movie was awesome and we go to Sals for burgers and fries. The old jukebox is playing 80s music in the corner and it has a nostalgic feel to the décor. "Just think, you will be 18 in less than two weeks and this could be one of the last times we can do this" mused Tori. "You can't get rid of me that easily," I grinned as I tossed a fry at her. "Besides in a couple years it will be your turn."

We go home and Mom fixes a big spread for our evening meal since she is off for the weekend. I spend time at the pool since the weather is still nice and finish up the day with a shower and bed.

Sunday, I just relax and spend the day either in the pool or laying out by it soaking in the early fall sun before it gets really cold. Mom takes us out to a restaurant since Dad is still away and we go shopping afterwards since he isn't there to complain about waiting for us.

I talked to Mom a little bit about the new class I have at school that caught my interest. I am very interested in architecture and green energy. She is going to talk to Dad about it when he gets home. With my good grades maybe they can find a school for me to attend. I am actually excited about it!
