Looking at Violet's text, Ethan raised his hand and pinched his eyebrows. He made a long sigh and made a call to look for a chauffeur.

About half an hour later, the chauffeur knocked on the car window from the outside, "Are you, Mr. Bond?"

Ethan pushed the door and got out of the car, "Yeah."

The chauffeur asked, "Where are you going?"

Ethan opened the car's door to the rear seat and got into the car. He said in a low voice, "Hospital."

When Ethan arrived at the hospital, Colin had just fallen asleep.

After Ethan paid the chauffeur, he took the elevator upstairs.

A few minutes later, Ethan appeared in the ward.

Colin was sleeping and he was in a daze. Suddenly, he felt that someone was watching him at the bedside.

At first, Colin thought it was an illusion. When he heard the sound of the chair moving next to his bed, he raised his eyebrows and opened his eyes.

In the dark room, they looked at each other with moonlight shedding through the window.

Colin twitched the corners of his mouth and said in a deep voice, "Is the business of the law firm being bad recently? That's why you have to get a part-time job?"

Ethan sat down and took out a cigarette from his pocket. He bit it with his mouth but didn't light it, "Huh?"

Colin explained, "Working for the Lord of Hell and helping to conjure souls at night, right?"

Ethan took the cigarette off the corner of his mouth and kicked Colin's bed, "Get up and chat with me."

Colin lay still without moving and said, "I am a patient and I need to rest."

Ethan pinched the cigarette with his fingers. Then, he crushed it and the shredded tobacco was scattered on the ground.

After a moment of silence in the ward, Ethan said abruptly, "I kissed Violet just now."

When Ethan finished his words, the lights in the ward suddenly turned on.

Then, Abbot's voice was heard and he sounded nosy, "When was it? Just now?"

Ethan was speechless.

Colin chuckled, got up with one of his hands supported on the bed, and sat by the head of the bed, "If you are going to talk about this topic now, I'm pretty sure I won't be dozing off." Ethan glanced at Colin and turned to look at Abbot, who was sitting on another bed in the corner.

Abbot understood what Ethan was trying to ask. He took the initiative to explain, "I'm worried about Colin. So, I stay to take care of him at night."

Ethan asked in a cold tone, "Why are you sleeping in the corner?"

Abbot said, "I moved the bed myself. The corner slot is easy to be ignored. Under general circumstances, people won't see me."

Ethan was confused, "Huh?"

Abbot said solemnly, "Colin is a mean person. He has offended so many people. What if someone assassinates him at night? Therefore, I have to find a place to hide."

After that, Abbot stretched his back and said, "I am taking care of him because of Faye."

After Abbot finished speaking, Ethan sneered, "We all know who you are doing this for."

Hearing Ethan's words, Abbot looked a little awkward. He coughed twice and changed the topic, "What's the matter between you and Ms. Rowan? Didn't you just say that you guys aren't a match?" Speaking of Violet, the smile on Ethan's face faded. He said, "It was under the influence...of alcohol."

Abbot teased, "Stop it. Others might not know how good you are at drinking, but Colin and I know it very well."

Ethan was silent for a while. Then, he took a cigarette from the cigarette case and lit it. After he took two puffs, he told them everything about what had happened that night.

When Ethan finished speaking, Abbot couldn't help laughing, "What? Saylor is Ms. Rowan's younger brother?"

Ethan looked embarrassed and said, "Yes. Biological brother."

Abbot continued, "How does it feel to beat your brother-in-law?"

Ethan glared at Abbot and said, "I don't know whether or not Colin will be assassinated tonight, but I know that you probably won't be alive by tomorrow morning."

Abbot joked, "Am I afraid of death? I might do better in the next life."

Ethan exercised his wrists and said, "Okay. It just so happens that I can't vent out some of my anger tonight. Please don't try to hide."

After Ethan finished speaking, he got up and walked towards Abbot.

Seeing that, Abbot jumped off the bed with bare feet, scolded a few swear words, and ran away from Ethan.

Even though they were in the VIP ward, the space was still limited. Before Abbot could make it to half a lap, Ethan got to pull on Abbot's collar from the back and threw him onto the bed.

Abbot curled himself up into a ball and said with a smile, "Ethan. No...no. Mr. Bond, I was wrong. I have realized my mistake..."

Ethan stepped forward and knelt one leg on the bed. There was a smile on the corner of his mouth, "You do know now? It's too late!"

Abbot looked at Colin and said, "Colin, as my best friend, are you not planning to help me?"

Colin adjusted his sitting posture and said with a calm face, "Don't worry. I will close my eyes."

After he finished speaking, he closed his eyes in the next second.

Soon after, Abbot's wailing was heard throughout the ward.
