Maxwell replied, "I got beaten severely just now."

Gunner said, "I am calling to tell you that everything is fine here."

Hearing this, Maxwell kept silent for a moment and then burst into laughter, asking, "You were caught?"

Gunner was speechless.

Maxwell said with a smirk, "Give the phone to Faye."

Since Maxwell had found it out, Gunner gave up hiding it. He simply leaned against the wall and said lazily, "You must explain it clearly. Otherwise, they would kill me." Maxwell smiled mockingly, "If you don't take the initiative to provoke her, she won't kill you."

Gunner snapped, "Beauty in eyes, friends off mind!"

Then, Lance stood up and handed Faye the phone.

She took it over and said coldly, "Hi, Maxwell."

Maxwell teased, "Gunner is my friend, and I sent him over to protect you. Don't misunderstand. Although he looks a bit wretched, he is a good person."

Faye sneered, "I don't think a good guy would hire people to pick the lock of my door in the middle of the night!"
