Chapter 554 A Play

Hearing Robert's words, Colin raised his eyebrows lightly. Robert instantly understood what he meant, so he continued in a faint voice, "Brandon did it."

Colin showed a mocking smile and said, "Did they fight?"

Robert nodded, "Yes, and it was a fierce fight."

Colin sneered, "Dogfight."

Seeing him have no intention of interfering, Robert leaned forward and whispered in his ear, "Hank is in the hospital now, and he said he wants to meet you."

Colin snorted, "I'm not going."

Robert nodded, "I got it."

Colin said, "Thank you."

Then, Robert walked away while bending his waist.

As soon as he left, Faye turned her head to look at Colin.

Sensing her gaze, he turned to look at her and asked, "Do you want to know what happened?"

Faye replied lightly, "I am not interested."

Colin chuckled, raised his eyebrows, and asked, "You don't want to stay here any longer?"

Faye said truthfully, "Yeah."

Colin said, "Let's go to fetch something to eat."

Then, he stretched out a hand toward her. And she naturally put her hand in his palm with a smile.

The award ceremony was still lively when they gracefully left hand in hand.

When a guest of the film festival saw this, he couldn't help joking, "Mr. Farrell, why are you leaving so soon?"

Colin smiled at him and said, "Because my wife is hungry."

Hearing this, the man was stunned and then smiled frivolously.

The speaker was one of Colin's old acquaintances, so Colin kicked his calf lightly and said, "She is my wife. Put away your frivolous expression."

The man said, "I know! Have I ever said she is not your wife?"

Colin grinned and then left with Faye.

After they left t, Rebecca kicked Abbot and said, "They left."

Abbot asked, "Do you want to leave too?"

Rebecca blinked and said, "It's ok if you don't want to leave now. Can you help me get that artist's autograph later? Of course, it would be better if you could get both a photo and an autograph." Abbot stared at her in silence for a while and then said in a deep voice, "Let's go."

Soon, he stood up and walked outward.

Rebecca pursed her lips and smirked behind him, and then, she caught up with him with his jacket in her arms. When they got out, Colin happened to drive to the door of the venue. He deliberately lowered the car window and teased, "Mr. Carter, what a coincidence!"

Abbot stood on the steps, looked at him, and asked, "Do you want to go for supper?"

Colin teased, "Your treat?"

Abbot asked, "When did you become so..."

He wanted to say 'stingy', but when he thought of the woman standing beside him, he swallowed it back. She was the stingiest person he had ever seen.

They had been friends for many years, so even though he didn't finish his sentence, Colin knew what he wanted to say. Looking at him with a playful smile, Colin asked again, "Your treat?"

Abbot gritted his teeth and replied with difficulty, "Yes."

Colin said readily, "Get in the car."

A few minutes later, the car was on its way to the Marriott.

Abbot kicked the back of the driver's seat and asked, "Why did you ask me to attend this event? You had only been there for an hour."

Colin looked at him in the rear-view mirror and said, "It is not scary for you to be stupid. What's scary is that you don't know how stupid you are."

Abbot was speechless.

Hearing this, Rebecca slowly interjected, "Mr. Farrell, you've indeed done a lot for your friends."

Seeing that Rebecca had pointed it out, Colin didn't play the fool but replied meaningfully, "I'm a kind-hearted person. And I always want to help those who are mentally handicapped." Rebecca said, "Unfortunately, such people may not be able to understand your good intentions."

Colin said, "It's OK. I never seek recognition after doing good deeds. And I have done several such good deeds recently."

Rebecca teased, "That's very kind of you."

Colin turned to look at Faye and said, "Honey, I'm applying for more pocket money. I want to buy some protective clothing for Abbot."

Faye couldn't help laughing, "Okay."

Inside the car, three of them knew what they were talking about, but Abbot was confused.

When they arrived at Marriott, they got out of the car. Colin and Faye walked in front. Behind them, Abbot grabbed Rebecca's wrist and said, "I'll take you to buy clothes first." Rebecca turned to face him and asked, "Why?"

Abbot's Adam's apple rolled up and down before he said, "This, this dress doesn't look good."

Rebecca said, "But I like it!"

Abbot gritted his teeth, "Don't you like Matthew? He doesn't this kind of dress."
