Jake deliberately said those joking words in a righteous tone.

Faye was amused and said, "What an ambitious aspiration. I wish your dream come true."

Jake teased, "I will carry you if my dream comes true."

Faye said with a smile, "Okay. I'm waiting for it."

It was already 6 p.m. when Faye left Jake's clinic.

Originally, Faye prepared to treat Jake to dinner, but Jake declined it with a lame excuse.

Faye drove to the hospital after leaving the clinic.

Seeing Faye, Abbot cleaned up the seafood on the table, reached out to take two tissues from the bedside table, wiped his hand, and said, "Oh, Faye, you're back." Faye replied with a smile, "Yep."

Abbot took a glance at the meal box in Faye's hand and asked curiously, "Is this Colin's dinner?"

Faye replied, "Yep. It's vegetable porridge."

Abbot chimed in, "Porridge is good. It nurtures your stomach."

Faye asked with a smile, "Would you like some?"

Abbot scratched his hair and declined with a smile. "No, thanks. This is bought for Colin and it contains your love for him. I'm afraid that Colin will get mad at me if I eat it."

He then walked to the bedside, reached out to pat Colin's shoulder, and said, "Since Faye is back, I'll excuse myself. Call me if you have any problem."

Colin replied, "Fuck off."

Abbot raised his brows when he heard Colin's words and asked, "How can you be so impolite to your brother?"

Colin smiled angrily and asked, "Abbot, do you want to be beaten up?"

Abbot provoked him, "Stand up to beat me if you're capable."

Looking at the complacent Abbot, Colin gritted his teeth and said, "Rest assured. I will satisfy your wish one day."

Sitting in his office, Jake smoked cigarettes dejectedly in his office after Faye's leaving.

After smoking the last cigarette in the pack, he heaved a long sigh, stood up, and left his office.

After walking out of the clinic, he rolled down the shutter door and then stared at the board on which there was the word "closed", having a heavy heart and mixed feelings. To be honest, Jake didn't regret his choices.

The waiter had gotten familiar with Jake at usual times. He teased, "Frequent? You only come here once half a year. If our boss has to earn his living by your consumption, he would have been starved earlier." Jake asked, "is it so exaggerated?"

The waiter asked instead, "What do you think of it?"

While chitchatting with Jake, he took him into a private room.

As soon as they walked into the room, eight robust men showed up in the bar.

A waiter hurriedly walked forward to greet them when he saw them.

The leader of these men looked askance at the waiter and asked indifferently, "Where's that man? The one who just stepped into your bar."
