Chapter 494 Predestined

Chapter 494 Predestined

When Abbot was talking to himself, he suddenly received a call from Colin.

Abbot glanced at the Caller ID and then swiped to answer the call. "Hello, Colin."

Colin teased him at the other end of the phone, "Where are you?"

Abbot replied calmly, "In the company."

Colin asked, "The Carter Group? Or Rebecca's company?"

Abbot replied, "Looks like your surgeon has shown mercy to you today."

Colin chuckled and said, "Judging from your tone, I can tell that your pursuit of Rebecca has a mixed result."

His words hit Abbot's sore spot and the latter immediately became silent.

Colin continued to tease him, "Did I guess it right?"

Turning the steering wheel, Abbot said through gritted teeth, "Colin, I will ruin your relationship with Faye one day."

Colin said, "Then hurry up. Otherwise, I'm afraid that it will be difficult for you to achieve your wish after our family adds another member." Abbot was rendered speechless.

Not getting any response from Abbot after finishing those words, Colin continued smilingly, "Abbot, do me a favor, and I can give you some advice."

Abbot really admired Colin's methods in romantic relationships.

If it wasn't that he wanted to save his face, he even wanted to be his last disciple.

Though Abbot was eager inwardly, on the surface, he pretended to be uninterested and said, "Come straight to the point."

Colin and Abbot had been good friends for many years, so of course, Colin knew Abbot well. Though Colin had seen him through, he didn't unmask him. He said, "Tiffany must be thinking about running away during this period. Keep a close eye on her."

Abbot asked, "Generally, isn't this Ethan's task?"

Abbot didn't probe into this and directly agreed, "Okay."

Just as Abbot had finished the word, Colin chuckled at the other end of the line and said, "There's nothing else. Let's stop here."

Abbot was rendered speechless.

The two were in a stalemate. Abbot gritted his teeth angrily and called his name, "Colin."

Colin said teasingly, "Directly ask me if you have any questions about romantic relationships. Don't be pretentious."

Abbot took a deep breath when he heard Colin's words and said, "Tell me. What advice do you want to give me?"

The effect of the anesthetic had faded away and Colin had been feeling some vague pain from his wound. He gasped in pain. Then he calmed down and said, "Make friends with Rebecca first. Don't cross that line. Treat her well as possible as you can. Especially in terms of work, you should offer convenience to her as possible as you can."

Abbot asked confusedly, "What should I do next?"

Colin replied, "Your holiday village signed an endorser not long ago, right? When it's almost time, ask Rebecca out to have a meal with that endorser."

Abbot was completely dumbfounded and asked, "Anything else?"

Colin replied in a deep voice, "Nothing else. If you do everything according to my advice yet she still can't be your girlfriend, probably there won't be any result in your relationship."

Abbot pressed his thin lips together tightly.

Colin paused and then said meaningfully, "Many things in this world are predestined, no matter if it was kinship, friendship, or love."

Abbot said, "I saw the recruitment information of a temple not long ago and it's wanting for a head monk. I think this job fits you well." Abbot directly hung up his phone after finishing the words, not caring what Colin would reply to him.

Colin laughed when he heard the busy tone on his phone.

But this sent pain to his would and Colin's smile suddenly disappeared as an inexplicably sharp pain rose from his private part.

Seeing this, Faye asked with a frown, "Is your wound torn?"

Tightening his jaw, Colin forced a smile and replied, "Honey. It's all right. I don't feel the pain."

The next day after Colin's hospitalization, Faye received a call from Jake.

Faye glanced at the screen and answered the call in the face of Colin, "Hello, Jake."

Jake said in an extremely low voice, "Are you free now? May you come to my clinic later?"

Faye asked, "What's the matter?"

Jake replied, "Tiffany will come here for psychological treatment later. I will try to induce her to say out the truth of what happened in the past."

Faye hesitated when she heard his words. After a while, she asked with a frown, "Have you decided on it? Why is it so abrupt?"

As a matter of fact, Faye also proposed this idea at the beginning of their cooperation, but at that time, Jake denied it sternly.

Jake remained silent for about half a minute when he heard Faye's words. Then he said in a husky voice, "I know you've set a trap for Tiffany and I also know that she will die in the end. But I want to avenge him by myself."
