Chapter 481 Falling Into the Trap Gradually

There were a few photos in the envelope.

Those photos seemed to be taken a long time ago. They weren't kept well and turned slightly yellow.

But even so, it didn't affect Faye to identify the people in those photos.

One of them was Daisy, who was in the photo.

The other was a stranger man.

Faye frowned and looked at the photos. From the gestures of the two, she could see that Daisy had a very close relationship with that man.

On the other side, Colin arrived at the Farrells' Mansion.

He knocked on Tiffany's bedroom door accompanied by the maid.

Although Tiffany was in a car accident, her injuries weren't serious. She did look pale because she was too frightened.

Seeing Colin, Tiffany was stunned at first. Then, she forced a smile and said, "Colin, why would you come home suddenly?"

Colin smiled and said, "Mom, I heard that you had a car accident and I was worried. So, I came home to check you out." Hearing Colin's words, the smile on Tiffany's face suddenly froze.

She just had the car accident not long ago but Colin got to know about it in such a short time. What did that say?

It showed that there was Colin's spy around her.

When Colin finished speaking, he saw that Tiffany was quiet. He chuckled and said, "Is there anything bothering you, mom?"

Tiffany said with an awkward expression, "No. Nothing is bothering me."

When Tiffany was talking, she looked at the maid standing beside her, and pretended to say unhappily, "You are so stiff. How could you keep Colin standing?"

The maid apologized repeatedly. After a while, she moved a chair and put it behind Colin.

Colin sat down comfortably, leaning back lazily, and asked, "Why didn't you inform me about my grandfather's funeral a few days ago, mom?"

Tiffany had expected that Colin would ask that question. She answered without changing her expression, "When someone dies, it means he is gone. It would be more important to take care of the living ones. I know that Faye and you don't want to come back for the funeral. Therefore, I didn't notify you two.

Tiffany lied without blushing or stuttering. Then, she added, "Don't worry. I have already explained it to the outsiders, saying that Faye and you are so occupied with work that you two can't attend the funeral." Imaging it was the grandfather's funeral, but the grandson couldn't make it because of too busy with work.

As soon as that was spread out, everyone in the community would have pointed their fingers at Colin and scolded him for being so heartless.

Colin put on a faint smile and said, "Mom, you always think so thoroughly about everything."

Colin made a pun and was sarcastic to her.

Tiffany wasn't a fool. She just pretended that she didn't hear it.

After that, the two greeted insincerely, and Tiffany took the opportunity to test him by saying, "Colin, there are some old employees at the Farrell Group who have been making a lot of troubles recently. Do you know about that?"

Colin raised his eyebrows and asked, "Really?

Tiffany was speechless.

Colin replied curiously and lazily, just like what he did before.

He didn't seem to be really interested in that topic. He only asked that question to go along with her.

Looking at Colin's expression, Tiffany couldn't tell whether he really didn't know it or he just pretended he didn't. She changed the topic calmly, "Faye and you have been married for a while now. When are you two going to have a baby?"

Colin smiled and said, "Soon."

Tiffany continued, "After Hank and Nylah divorced, I have no idea when is he going to remarry. I am putting my hope for having grandchildren on Faye and you."

Colin's smile got deepened and he said, "I see."

After that, Colin turned his head, glanced at the maid beside him, and said, "Leave us alone. I have something to talk about with mom."

The maid stood still when she heard the words. Then, she looked at Tiffany for her instructions.

She only walked away after seeing Tiffany nod slightly to her.

As the maid closed the bedroom door, Colin teased, "Mom, you are having such a good way to manage your people."

Tiffany replied, "I'm just a paper tiger."

Colin lowered his eyes and smiled mockingly. When he lifted his eyes to look at Tiffany, his smile stopped, and he said, "Mom, there's one thing I've always wanted to ask you." Tiffany responded, "Is it about the death of Faye's parents?"

Colin answered, "Yes."

Tiffany gasped and said, "Well, I know it will come to me eventually.

After that, Tiffany looked at Colin and said, "You have been taking my side on the death of the old man and the imprisonment of Blaine. Are you trying to use me to get rid of them?" Colin teased, "Are you having any misunderstanding?"

Tiffany was startled when she heard his words. She had a bad feeling instantly.

The next second, Colin said with a faint smile, "You and I have never been on the same side."

Tiffany was speechless.

Seeing Tiffany's hand clenched by her side and she was quiet, Colin smiled suddenly and said, "Don't be too worried. Although I'm not on the same side as you, we don't necessarily have to be the enemy." When Colin finished his words, Tiffany stared at him with a wary expression.

Colin adjusted his sitting posture and said like a negotiator, "To be honest, I am not interested in the cause of death of Faye's parents at all."

Tiffany asked," What do you want then?"

Colin said, "That is the issue of the previous generation. It should end here. From now on, we will stay out of things of each other."

Tiffany doubted and looked at Colin in disbelief, "Are you sure?"

Colin took out the cigarette that Faye gave him in the morning and lit it. He took a deep breath and said solemnly, "Will there ever be an end to the revenge? I can't keep holding a grudge onto it and bring it down to the next generation of Hank and mine."

Colin's words are flawless.

Tiffany pursed her lips and stared at him for a while. Then, she said, "Okay."

After they agreed on that, Colin didn't stay any longer. He got up and left.

Seeing that Colin was putting his hand on the doorknob, Tiffany said, "Colin, I hope that you will keep your word."

Colin didn't look back and he responded with a sneer, "Don't worry."

When he came out of the Farrells' Mansion, Robert was already waiting for him outside the door.

Colin took off his cigarette and tapped the ash off it. Then, he said, "Did you manage to get hold of Blaine?"

Robert answered, "I did."

Zhou Yi sneered and said, "Ask someone to regularly share Tiffany's daily schedule with Blaine from today onwards." Robert replied, "Got it. "
