Abbot's words were somewhat resentful.

Rebecca wasn't a fool and she knew what he was implying.

Rebecca's mother put her arms around her chest and checked Abbot up several times from the top to the bottom. Then, she said, "Why do I find you familiar?" Abbot looked at Rebecca's mother and asked, "Do you read magazines?"

Rebecca's mother answered, "I do. Are you a model?"

Abbot asked, "How about the financial section?"

Rebecca's mother replied, "I read that too."

Abbot said solemnly, "Mrs. Black, my name is Abbot Carter."

Rebecca met her mother's gaze and nodded, "You got it right. He is from the Carters, who is the real estate tycoon in Cocanel." Rebecca's mother was speechless.

She couldn't believe that she was looking at the heir of the Carters in her home.

Rebecca's mother was in a daze for a long time and only regained her senses when Rebecca coughed to signal her.

The Blacks were a typical family with the principle that "men are breadwinners; women are homemakers". Therefore, whatever Rebecca's mother said in the house would be the imperial decree. Rebecca stood up reluctantly. Before she left, she winked at Abbot multiple times.

The more Abbot looked at her, the more nervous he felt. He lowered his voice and asked, "What's wrong?"

Rebecca whispered, "Don't say anything."

Her voice was too soft, and Abbot couldn't hear her clearly, "What do you want me to say?"

Rebecca answered, "I was telling you not to say anything. Be quiet."

Abbot looked at her blankly and frowned.

Seeing that, Rebecca rolled her eyes and said, "Forget it. Just do what you like!"

After that, Rebecca went to the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Aubree was cleaning up the place. When she saw Rebecca coming in, she winked and asked, "Becca, is that your boyfriend?"

Rebecca answered, "No."

Aubree continued, "That young man is quite handsome."

Rebecca pouted and said, "What's the point of being handsome when his brain couldn't work well?"

Rebecca looked at Abbot with a complicated expression. Then, she closed her eyes and straightened up.
