Chapter 467 Clean Up

Ethan started to cough violently. After coughing, he said for a few seconds, "I got a cold."

Colin chuckled, "Did you wear too little to pretend to be cool?"

Ethan said, "I slept in the living room last night and forgot to close the window."

Colin had always been an acute observer and teased Ethan, "You were sleeping in the living room!"

Hearing Colin's meaningful laughter, Ethan paused and then said in his hoarse voice, "What are you thinking about? Go to a doctor."

Colin joked, "I should take you to see a doctor."

Ethan laughed angrily.

Ethan had a serious cold and had coughed five or six times when talking on the phone with Colin.

Ethan couldn't speak too much, so the two chatted for just a few minutes and hung up the phone.

Colin spun his cellphone in his hand and looked at Lance, "Please comfort Emmett for me."

Lance said, "Yes."

Colin said, "Life is long. As long as one is alive, there is nothing that he can't overcome."

Lance said, "I will tell that to him."

Colin patted Lance's shoulder and then walked away.

Fennth Community was originally built by Abbot. All the people who lived here were either rich or noble and owned a residence with two villas. One was bigger and the other was smaller. The larger one was for owners, and the smaller one was for servants.

Andy, Lance, and Emmett lived in the smaller villa that no one had lived in before.

When Colin returned to the bedroom, Faye was standing in front of the window in a trance.

Colin stepped forward, hugged her from the back, put his chin on her shoulder, and asked in a low voice, "What are you thinking about?"

Faye said, "I feel I'm stupid."

Colin's heart skipped a beat, and he clenched his teeth.

Faye continued in a low voice, "How could I have thought Emmett was only scared in Heaven of Bomsville."

Colin didn't say anything.

Even though no one had told her the truth, Faye still guessed the truth from how Emmett overreacted.

She watched Emmett grow up. If Emmett had just been scared in Heaven of Bomsville, he would not have reacted so violently.

Faye leaned back in Colin's arms for a while, stood up straight, and said, "Go to sleep. I'm a little tired."

Colin looked down at her. "Eat some food before going to bed."

Faye said, "No." She walked towards the bed.

Colin watched Faye slide into the quilt and close her eyes, his hands in his pockets, he walked over and squatted down to kiss her on the forehead.

Faye's eyelids trembled, but she didn't open her eyes.

Colin said, "Honey, it's not your fault." Tears trickled from the corners of Faye's eyes.

Colin lowered his head and kissed her eyes, saying in a soft voice, "It's okay to cry if you want to."

Faye opened her eyes, put her arms around Colin's neck, and buried her face in his chest.

Colin felt Faye's body trembling and patted her lightly on her back. "It's okay. I will help you get revenge."

Faye didn't answer, crying silently. She finally fell asleep in Colin's arms.

Feeling his feet numb, Colin carefully removed Faye's hands from his neck and sat down against the bedside table. After taking a glance at Faye, he took out his cellphone and sent a message to Robert: Clear up the Farrell Group.

The next day.

Faye heard a clamor from downstairs when she was sleeping.

She opened her eyes with a frown and subconsciously looked to the right of the bed.

Not seeing Colin, she rubbed her forehead and sat up.

The quarrel downstairs became more and more violent.

Faye sat on the bed for a while, put on slippers, and opened the door. She reached the stairs and saw seven or eight executives from the Farrell Group sitting in the living room, all with livid faces.

"Mr. Farrell, you must give us an account of this." "Yes, the Farrell group belongs to your family. It is your right to lay off us, but we are all senior employees. Isn't it too outrageous to dismiss us without a single reason?" Seven or eight executives looked at Colin and complained.

Colin rubbed a cup in his hand with a smile on his face but didn't say a word.

Seeing Colin keep silent, the executives glanced at each other.

Then a senior executive said, "Mr. Farrell, we know that this matter has nothing to do with you, and we also know that you have sold all your shares to Tiffany. But we have worked for the Farrell group for many years. Could you help us for the sake of our hard work for so many years?"

Colin took a sip of his coffee and chuckled, "I can understand your feelings. I think maybe I can help you with this."

Hearing that, the executives' eyes were full of expectation.

Colin stopped speaking, observed their expressions with interest for a while, and slowly said, "However, I need your cooperation."
