Chapter 444 Revenge

Rex's tone was sincere.

Colin raised his brows in surprise when he heard those words and questioned him with a nasal sound.

Rex took half a step forward and closed his eyes as if he had made an important decision. Then he asked, "You've been asking Ethan to find out the spy that Old Mr. Farrell arranged when he was alive, right?" Colin's eyes turned cold as he asked, "Is it you?"

Rex's chin tightened as he answered, "Yes."

Colin stared at Rex and the latter couldn't tell if he was happy or angry from his eyes.

Rex took a deep breath and continued, "Please rest assured. I'll keep this a secret from Ms. Nash."

Colin asked, "You instigated Ralph to come here today, right?"

Rex admitted it calmly, "Yes."

Colin bit the cigarette in his mouth, making it flat. Then he suddenly smiled and said, "Interesting."

Rex replied, "Mr. Farrell, no one can keep a secret better than a dead."

Colin curled up his thin lips into a smile and said, "I wonder if my grandfather would jump out of his tomb if he gets to know that you disclose your identity and even betray him for the sake of a woman." Rex clenched his hands which were placed by his sides and said, "I've done many bad things for Old Mr. Farrell when he was alive and I think I've already repaid his kindness."

Colin knew little about Rex, but he had learned much about Rex introducing female stars to investors.

He always thought that Rex did those things for his own benefit or to give those female stars a shortcut.

But now he realized that he was instructed by his grandfather.

No wonder that Rex would change the stars he managed frequently though they were very beautiful,

The reason why Old Mr. Farrell did this was very simple - he wanted to rope in those investors.

Rex stayed in the Farrell Media not to manage stars, but to find beauties who could entertain investors for Old Mr. Farrell.

Colin raised his hand and took the cigarette out of his mouth when he heard the words. Then he asked with a smile, "I don't want to know what you plan to do later." Then he twiddled the cigarette with his fingertips and continued, "But I'll choose the best tomb for you."

Rex replied, "Thank you, Mr. Farrell."

Colin continued, "Fanny's grandmother will be sent to the cemetery half an hour later."

Rex pressed his lips and said, "I understand. I won't pollute her place."

Collin took a meaningful glance at him when he heard the words and then strode away.

When Colin walked up to Faye, Galen happened to be leaving.

Colin reached out, wrapped his arm around Faye's waist, and then pulled her into his embrace, asking, "Are you tired?"

Faye replied, "Nope."

Colin bowed his head, landed a kiss on her hair, and said, "The problem outside has been solved. We'll go to the cemetery half an hour later." Faye replied, "Okay."

It was a nice day and the sky was very bright.

It would take about two hours to drive from the mourning hall to the cemetery.

After arriving at the cemetery, Faye watched them bury Fanny's grandmother and then kneel to worship her.

After leaving the cemetery, they drove away. Sitting in the passenger's seat, Faye looked at Colin tiredly and asked, "Are you tired?"

Colin replied teasingly, "How can a man say he's tired?"

Faye was amused. "You're really..."

She was interrupted as the phone in her hand suddenly rang.

Faye raised her phone, took a glance at the Caller ID on the screen, and then answered the call, "Galen."

Galen's breaths sounded uneven when she spoke from the other end of the phone, "Ms. Nash, something goes wrong."

Faye asked, "What happened?"

Galen replied, "Ralph died. He-he was killed by Rex."

Galen had worked for Faye for years. Though she would sometimes get anxious at usual times, it was the first time that she was so panic-stricken.

Faye's face immediately turned cold when she heard her words. She then asked, "When?"

Galen replied, "Not long ago. Didn't you notice that Rex didn't come to the cemetery with us?"

Faye remained silent.

She had made arrangements, big or small, for today's funeral, and she didn't have any energy to pay attention to other matters.

Moreover, Rex was an adult, and Faye wouldn't deliberately pay attention to each of his moves.

Along with Faye's silence, Galen asked gingerly at the other end of the phone, "Ms. Nash, are you all right?"

Faye asked, "Where is he?"

Galen replied, "In the hotel where we held the funeral just now."

Faye said calmly, "I'll go there right now."

Faye raised her hand and pinched her glabellar after ending the call. "Go to the hotel where we held the funeral just now."

Colin didn't like to act before Faye and he couldn't say any hypocritical words like "what happened" to her. He agreed to it in a deep voice and then whirled the steering wheel. When they arrived, they found there was a cordon around the hotel. Around the cordon were crowds of onlookers.

Faye and Colin got out of the car one after another. Galen had spotted them from afar and trotted over, saying, "Ms. Nash, you're finally here."

Faye raised her brows and asked, "What's the matter?"

Galen took two deep breaths to calm down and then answered, "Er... Rex wants to see you."

Faye asked in doubt, "See me?"

Galen nodded heavily and replied, "Yep. He's now in the lobby of the hotel with a waiter as his hostage. He told the police that he would only release the hostage after meeting you." Faye hesitated for several seconds. She then turned around to look at Colin and said, "I need to go in."

With his hands in his pockets, Colin said, "I'll go in with you."
