Faye's heart skipped a beat when she heard Brandon's words and a bad hunch rose in her heart.

Finding that Faye was silent, Brandon sneered. He rolled the wheelchair to the French window again.

Faye pressed her lips together while looking at Brandon's back.

Colin beside her naturally held her hand and shook his head at her.

Faye understood his suggestion and remained silent.

Brandon looked out of the window at the landscape outside. Several minutes later, he gradually calmed down. Then he asked with a sneer, "Do you think Shepard was the one who set the fire?" Faye was still silent.

Brandon sneered.

Before Faye could say something, Tiffany walked in, interrupting their conversation.

She was wearing a pair of lambskin brown heels and she didn't change them into slippers when entering the living room. She directly walked to Faye and Colin and asked, "Colin, you got to know Mr. Brandon Farrell just now, right?"

Colin replied, "Yep."

Tiffany then said earnestly, "The grudges among the older generation don't have anything to do with the second generation. Since Old Mr. Farrell and your father have passed away, plus that the Farrell family is such a big family with great fortune, it desperately needs a leader. Hence, I prepare to welcome Mr. Brandon Farrell back and let him govern our family."

It sounded like a good explanation, but in fact, it was full of loopholes.

It was true that Old Mr. Farrell and Blaine had died, but Hank and Colin were not babies. No matter what, it was not Brandon's turn to govern the family. Moreover, everyone knew about the grudges between Brandon and Old Mr. Farrell. This move of Tiffany was undoubtedly a slap on Old Mr. Farrell's face.

Tiffany's face was brimmed with smiles. Though she didn't comment on it, it was easy to tell from her expression that she was very satisfied with Colin's answer.

Colin looked down at his wristwatch after finishing the words and said, "Mom, if there is nothing else, please excuse me and Faye."

Tiffany pretended to be surprised when she heard Colin's words and asked, "Don't you plan to stay?"

Colin laughed and said, "Nah. We'll go back when grandfather's funeral is held."

Finishing the conversation with Tiffany, Colin strode to Brandon, leaned forward, and bid him farewell smilingly just like how he treated Old Mr. Farrell, "Mr. Brandon Farrell, I and Faye need to deal with some matters in the company. We'll come back to visit you when we're free."

Colin behaved very respectfully and politely. Brandon's sharp eyes darkened as he replied, "Okay."

Colin smiled, stood up, and left with Faye.

They got into the car after leaving the Farrells' Mansion with Colin sitting in the driver's seat and Faye sitting in the passenger's seat.

Colin tapped the steering wheel with his slender fingers after getting into the car. He said scornfully, "Tiffany is getting more and more foolish."

Faye replied in a bland voice, "She thinks she can handle Brandon and that designating Brandon to govern the Farrell family can prevent you from inheriting the family fortune. But probably she hasn't expected that this move is indeed opening the door to a dangerous person."

Colin said, "If she continues to do stupid things, she'll have to repay with her life."

Faye remarked, "If a natural disaster happens to someone, he or she can be forgiven; but if it's of one's own making, he or she deserves the punishment."

Colin chuckled when he heard Faye's words and swirled the steering wheel.

It was Monday today, even though it was not rush hour, there were many cars on the street.

When they arrived at the company, Colin leaned forward and unfastened the safety belt for Faye. He took the chance to land a kiss on her lips and said, "Honey, you may go up first. I need to call back Abbot." Faye replied, "Okay."

She got out of the car and then took an elevator upstairs. Soon after she walked into the office, Galen followed in.

Galen walked to the desk with a document in her hand and then handed it to Faye, reporting, "Ms. Nash, these are all the contracts that Fanny violated."

Faye took the document and said after leafing through it, "I see. Did you calculate the sum of compensation we need to pay?"

Galen answered, "1.1 million."

Faye replied, "Okay. Contact these companies in these days and wire the compensation to them."

Galen replied.

She picked up the document on the desk after finishing the words. Seeming to be in a dilemma, she reported, "Ms. Nash, there's one more thing."

Faye looked up at her and asked, "Did Mr. Ford refuse to keep the scenes filmed by Fanny?"

Galen replied, "Yep. Mr. Ford called me just now and asked me to explain to you that it wasn't that he was unwilling to keep the scenes filmed by Fanny, it was just that no actress was willing to shoot the rest scenes. He released the information about a week ago, yet so far, no actress has contacted him."

Faye pressed her lips, seeming to be pondering about something.

It made sense that those actresses didn't want to act in such a movie as it had two female leading actresses, especially when the former one had passed away and caused an uproar. This meant that the latter's hard work might go in vain and help to promote the former's popularity instead.

Faye thought maybe her idea was too selfish.

She nodded and said, "All right. I see. Wire the liquidated damages to Mr. Ford later."

Galen replied, "Okay."

After reporting things related to Fanny, Galen began to report her work.

Sitting in the car, Colin was having a call with Abbot.

Abbot asked in an extremely meaningful tone, "Colin, should men be more proactive in a relationship?"
