Chapter 409 I Improved Myself Everyday

When Faye received the text from Lance, she was visiting Abbot in the hospital.

Abbot couldn't move his hand and asked Colin to peel the oranges for him.

Abbot was very demanding. In addition to peeling off the orange, he requested the orange's albedo must also be peeled off completely, and there should be no residue.

When Faye saw Lance's text, her heart skipped a beat. She clicked on their chat box and replied, "Don't act impulsively."

There was no reply from Lance after that. Faye got up, walked to the window, and called Lance. However, there was no answer after three attempts.

Faye frowned and clenched her phone tightly. After thinking for a while, she texted Andy, "Is Lance okay?"

Andy replied quickly, "He is drunk."

Faye responded, "Keep an eye on him. Don't let him act impulsively."

Faye sent her text out but Andy didn't reply immediately this time.

After a while, Andy sent a photo over.

Faye touched the photo on her screen to enlarge it. In that photo, Lance's face was flushed. He was lying on the ground sideways and looked very drunk. Soon after that, a text from Andy said, "He can't act impulsively. He can't even stand up."

Faye replied, "Um."

After sending the text to Andy, Faye's mind was eased a little. When she turned around, Abbot was bickering with Colin. Abbot said, "Do you know how to take care of someone correctly? I have told you that I don't eat orange's albedo."

Colin leaned back in his chair lazily and looked at him, "Eat it or leave it."

Abbot glared at him and said, "What's that attitude? Who makes my arm gets injured?"

Colin raised his eyebrows and asked, "Do you want me to write you a thank you letter and send it to your office?"

Abbot squinted at Colin and said, "What's the point of sending that shit?"

Colin sneered, "What do you want me to do then? Do you want me to kneel in front of you?"

Abbot straightened his body which was leaning against the couch and said calmly, "If you want to do it, I will take it."

Colin put up a faint smile and said, "Why didn't Maxwell tear off your mouth?"

Mentioning Maxwell, Abbot suddenly became energetic.

He stepped on his slippers and went straight to the outside of the ward.

Soon after Abbot left the room, he returned to grab a handful of snacks before he turned around and left the room again.

Colin looked at him and teased, "Take it easy, Abbot."

Abbot answered, "I'm taking care of the elders on your behalf."

After Abbot finished speaking, he disappeared without a trace.

After Abbot left, there was only Colin and Faye were left in the room.

Colin got up, walked to Faye, and handed her the peeled oranges.

Faye took it, smiled, and said, "Is Abbot going next door to get Maxwell agitated again?"

Colin leaned on the window which was behind him and said, "I heard that Maxwell is driving crazy by him."

Faye laughed out loud.

Colin continued, "Maxwell probably never thought that he isn't killed by a fight but by nagging from someone so annoying."

In the ward next door.

From the moment Abbot entered the door, Maxwell was pretending to be dead with his eyes closed.

After Abbot greeted the two bodyguards who took care of him as usual, he took a chair with one of his hands and sat down in front of the bed. He threw the snacks in his hand on the bedside table and began to munch them rhythmically.

Those two bodyguards were speechless.

Maxwell, who was pretending to be dead didn't say anything as well.

After Abbot munched for about two minutes, Maxwell opened his eyes unbearably and asked, "You are not going to stop it. Aren't you?"

Abbot smiled at Maxwell. He chuckled and said, "Maxwell, let's have a heart-to-heart talk!"

Maxwell's leg was in a cast and he couldn't move. He said, "Get out."

Abbot smiled sincerely, pretended to be serious, and said, "Please get some sleep and don't worry about me. I just want to accompany you and be the filial piety for Colin." Maxwell was speechless.

During his stay in the hospital, he was basically annoyed by Abbot three times a day.

Abbot would be there in the morning, afternoon, and evening. He would be there more punctual than the servant who was serving the emperor.

In the beginning, Maxwell was still able to keep his composure. After all, he had been working for more than ten years and his shrewdness was there. But after a long time, he couldn't take it anymore.

He found that Abbot was a talent. A talent who could drive someone crazy.

Abbot's mouth never stopped. He would keep chatting with him by his bed except when he was eating.

The topic was almost the same every day. He would be talking nonsense and cursing his ancestors and family.

It wasn't that Maxwell didn't think about asking the bodyguards to send Abbot out.

But since Abbot's arm was injured, he would accuse anyone who touched him and make his injury worse.

The Carters was having some power in Cocanel. Although Maxwell intended to get rid of Abbot, he had to take the consequences into account.

When Abbot finished speaking, he saw that Maxwell was silent. He tilted his head, threw the wrappers of the snacks onto the ground, and asked, "Maxwell, you are not young anymore. Have you ever thought about getting married?"

Maxwell said coldly, "No."

Abbot nodded and said, "It's right for you not to get married. Otherwise, I can't imagine what kind of child will be given birth to by someone as wick as you."

Maxwell asked, "You changed your topic today?"

Abbot was confused, "Huh?"

Maxwell looked at Abbot and said, "You aren't only cursing my ancestors but also my next generation?"

Abbot sneered, "Well, I have to be fair."

Maxwell was speechless.

Maxwell was so annoyed by Abbot that he couldn't say a word. When Maxwell was about to talk back, one of the bodyguards stepped forward with his mobile phone and said, "Mr. Camden, your father is on the call."

Maxwell took a deep breath and answered the phone, "Yes."

The person on the other end of the phone had a hoarse and it was hard to be heard, "Send someone to get rid of Blaine. Old Mr. Farrell is dying. You have to let him experience the joy of his child dying earlier than him."
