My Fair Stunner novel (Faye and Colin)
Chapter 322 Good Acting

Chapter 322 Good Acting

When Helen was dragged back into her room by Hank, she was out of breath from crying.

Hank threw her onto the couch, pinched between his brows, and sat down beside her, uttering, "After New Year's Day, I will arrange for someone to send you back to the hometown."

Helen covered her face and cried her heart out. It was still hard for her to accept the fact.

After a while, Helen sobbed and said, "Hank, is our family going to fall apart like this?"

Hank stated, "Nothing can stop Colin. As for Mom, there is no way to get her out of this."

Helen said, "We can... we can..."

Helen wanted to say "we can apologize to Colin", but she bit her tongue.

Her mother had done so many evil things. Apart from that, Faye's parents' lives were also taken by them.

An apology meant nothing.

At the same time, in another bedroom, Emmett was about to leave the room through the window.

Faye warned, "Don't be noticed by others."

Emmett said with confidence, "Faye, don't worry. I've already been well aware of the situation in the Farrells' Mansion. At this time, even the dogs in the backyard are asleep, let alone others." Faye uttered, "Don't be careless. Don't let the surveillance cameras get you."

Emmett winked and said, "It's a breeze."

Then, he jumped out through the window.

Watching Emmett leave in the dark, Faye compressed her lips in front of the window.

After a few minutes, Faye received a message: [Faye, see you around.]

Faye tapped on her phone screen as she replied: [See you.]

After making sure that Emmett left safely, Faye put her phone into her pocket and turned to look at Colin, saying, "Any questions?"

Colin sat by the bed with his legs open naturally. "Is Lance your man?" asked he.

Faye gave him a confirmative answer. "Mm-hmm."

Colin smiled more wildly as he uttered, "Baby, there is so much about you. Even I didn't notice it."

Faye silenced for a moment before opening her mouth, "I didn't want to hide it from you, but Lance's identity is too special. I'm afraid he'll be in danger if he is exposed."

Faye paused and added, "In my eyes, Lance is like my younger brother."

Colin still smiled but didn't reply to her. A few seconds later, he walked up to Faye with his hands in his pockets. He leaned close to her ear and said in a low voice, "Baby, how many good brothers on earth do you have, huh?"

Faye tilted her head and looked up.

Colin teased, "Excluding Alexander, Lance, and Emmett, who else?"

Colin towered over Faye, so Faye's eyes happened to fall on Colin's Adam's apple.

Watching his Adam's apple move up and down as Colin spoke, Faye opened her mouth, "Among all those children in the orphanage back then, I was the eldest."

Colin uttered, "Uh-huh?"

Faye continued, "So, I not only have younger brothers but also sisters."

That piqued Colin's interest as he looked at Faye meaningfully.

It suddenly dawned on him where Faye's composure came from.

Not only was it because of her strong personality, but also a very important reason was that she had great strength in terms of her various connections.

Colin's connected men were all influential and powerful. On the contrary, Faye's connected people were very ordinary, so much so that their opponents would easily underestimate them. However, such connections worked like magic.

As the saying went, "An ant may well destroy a whole dam."

Emmett was one of them.

Who would have thought that such a young man who looked like a toy boy was a pawn to bring Tiffany down?

Although Faye did not tell him, Colin was well aware that being with Tiffany, Emmett could definitely fish for a lot of information for Faye.

After all, everyone needed to pour out their emotional problems. Since Tiffany was so calculating, it was impossible for her to talk to someone as cunning as she was.

Apart from that, it couldn't be someone in the same industry as her in case the word got out.

Emmett naturally became her first choice.

He had neither power nor influence, and he even needed her financial help to make a living.

The more Colin thought about it, the more he appreciated Faye.

Besides appreciation, he also felt sorry for her.

Colin looked down at Faye for a while before holding her into his arms; he said in a magnetic voice, "Baby, I'm sorry. I've not protected you well all the while." Faye let out a sigh lightly and uttered, "It's not your problem."

Colin said in a calm voice, "If only I could be stronger earlier. In that case, you wouldn't have to work this hard."

Faye said, "I think I'm pretty good now."

Colin said, "But I feel distressed for you."

Early in the morning.

Each of the Farrells had good acting.

The night before, it was all chaotic in the mansion, while they were having breakfast harmoniously at the moment.

It seemed that the hysterical quarrel last night was just a hallucination.

Tiffany personally prepared the toast for everyone in the family, and she even asked what jam Blaine would like to spread on it.

Blaine said, "As usual. Don't mind us. Just sit down to have breakfast with us."

Tiffany smiled bitterly and uttered. "It's all right. Probably I won't be able to do all these for you guys going forward even if I want to."

With that, Tiffany continued to serve them breakfast. A touch of sincerity flashed across her face.

When they were about to start having breakfast, York came down from upstairs and strode behind Colin. He then leaned over and whispered into Colin's ear, "Colin, Old Mr. Farrell wants to meet with Tiffany."
