Colin asked teasingly, "I'm curious about that girl now. She has actually resisted your attraction."

Ethan snorted, "She's a dance teacher. And her boyfriend is a doctoral student."

Learning that that girl already had a boyfriend, Colin didn't take her to his heart anymore. He teased Ethan, "Your grandfather is really open-minded. He even asked you to date a girl who had a boyfriend." Ethan replied, "She's the granddaughter of his one of his comrades-in-arms. I heard that her grandfather was not satisfied with her boyfriend."

Colin grinned unrulily. "I wonder if you're of her type, scholar Ethan."

Ethan put his hands in his pockets and smiled, not annoyed by his comment at all.

Abbot broke in when he heard Colin's words, "I heard from my grandfather that that girl is very gentle."

Ethan asked, "Do you think a man like him matches a gentle girl?"

Abbot replied honestly, "You reminded me. You two are not a good match. More precisely, you don't deserve her."

Ethan asked coldly, "What would you like on your shabby coffin? White carnations, or yellow carnations?"

Abbot replied, not frightened at all, "I prefer roses. They look more luxurious."

Ethan looked askance at Abbot and said, "Rest assured. You're my bro after all. I'll definitely satisfy you."

Then minutes later, the three men went back to the private room next door.

It was very lively in the room as they were joking and playing happily.

Colin was worried that Faye could not get accustomed to such an occasion. But now he realized that his worries were unnecessary.

Though Faye was aloof, she was good at hiding her emotions.

Hence, even though she couldn't create a lively atmosphere, she could join them quietly.

She wouldn't put on airs. Instead, she would listen to them with a smile.

Colin could tell that Faye had gotten along well with them when he was out.

His friends would talk to her nicely.

"Faye, I shipped you and Colin when you two attended that variety show."

"Alas, when Faye attended that show, my grandmother didn't know she was Colin's wife and forced my father to use his connections to get her contact information."

"Haha, if Colin learns about this, he'll skin you alive."

His friend grinned.

But the next second, Colin turned around and said to Ethan, "Ethan, throw this bastard into the river to feed fishes later."

Ethan replied calmly, "Roger."

The man was rendered speechless.

Shortly after Colin and the lot sat down, someone knocked on the door and then pushed it open. A waiter walked in and placed some other dishes on the table.

They ate and chatted, forming a lively scene. After a short while, they stood up and toasted Colin one by one.

With each glass of wine, they needed to say a blessing. These blessings cannot be repeated, and the punishment was that the one who couldn't come up with a new blessing would have to drink three glasses of wine.

Those who toasted Colin first completed it effortlessly. But as it progressed, the latter ones provided many laughing stocks.

The out-of-luck Owen was one of the latter ones. When it was his turn, most of the well-known blessings had been used.

Holding a glass of wine, Owen braced himself and stammered under Colin's gaze, "Co-Colin, I wish you happy, fortunate, and longevous. Also, may you be wealthy and healthy."

Most of them spit out wine when they heard his toast.

"Owen, longevous? Are you toasting your grandfather?"

"I persuaded you to focus on your study before, but you said your ambition was to be a gigolo."

"Owen, oh, Owen, how indecent."

Owen blushed at their teases. He retorted, "You know what. I said so to express my respect to Colin."

Colin curled up his thin lips into a smile and commented, "Your toast gave me a feeling that maybe there would be flourishing plants before my tomb next year."

Owen scratched his hair, begging for his mercy. "Colin, please."

Colin picked up his glass and clinked it with Owen's. "All right. Thank you for your blessings. But remember, don't mention this to your father when you come back. Otherwise, I'm afraid that he'll not only beat you up but also scold me."

Owen said, "Bro, I know it. You won't go hard with me."

Colin retorted, "Don't nauseate me. It's a happy day, don't force me to resort to violence."

In the past, they would play various games during such an occasion.

Colin squeezed out two words with difficulty, "I know."

It was difficult to tell if Colin was angry or not from his expression. The man who had had a slip of tongue was so scared that he broke out in cold sweat.

With this incident, no one dared to talk nonsense again.

When the party was coming to an end, Faye stood up and walked to the checkout counter to pay the bill.

The cashier asked confusedly, "Didn't Mr. Hawkins say it's chargeable to him?"

Faye replied blandly, "It doesn't matter. I'll explain this to him."

Faye walked back after paying the bill. But just as she had taken several steps, she saw Colin in the corridor.
