Getting out of the Carters' Mansion, Abbot drove Rebecca home.

Rebecca rode shotgun and looked sideways at Abbot several times. She compressed her lips as she was thinking.

"Some people were born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

"But no one is perfect. Although Abbot has wealth and a handsome face, there is something he'll never have, that is, a brain."

Rebecca was lost in thought while her phone in her pocket suddenly rang.

Rebecca fished out her phone and took a look at the phone screen. Seeing it was a call from Faye, Rebecca picked it up. "Hello, Faye."

Faye asked, "Have you gone home?"

Rebecca answered, "On my way now. What's the matter?"

Faye uttered, "With Abbot?"

Rebecca said honestly, "Yup!"

Faye was silent for a short moment before saying softly, "Call me when you get home."

Rebecca responded in confusion, "Oh, okay."

Hanging up, Rebecca continued to look sideways at Abbot.

Abbot actually had already noticed Rebecca's gazes but didn't say anything about it. Now that she fixed her eyes on him again, he asked with a frown, "Are you done watching me?" Rebecca coughed gently and uttered, "Yeah, I'm done."

Abbot stated, "Don't overthink what's happened today. You had drunk so much wine. My mother would be worried about your safety if you were home alone, so she asked me to take you to my home." Abbot paused and then added, "Don't think too much about it."

After spending these days with Abbot, Rebecca had basically got the hang of getting along with him.

Never argue with him. He was always right in an argument no matter when.

Rebecca dropped her eyes and scanned the big gold bracelet on her wrist. With a bright smile, she uttered, "Sure, Mr. Carter. I got it."

It was out of Abbot's expectation that Rebecca suddenly became so meek. He said looking uncomfortable, "Mm-hmm."

Then, it fell silent in the car.

More than an hour later, they arrived at Rebecca's apartment.

Abbot pulled over. Rebecca said with a smile, "Mr. Carter, thank you for sending me back."

With one hand holding the steering wheel, Abbot opened the trunk and asked, "Can you handle those stuff yourself?"

Rebecca looked back but didn't see what was behind. Now that the hood had been opened, she smiled more brightly and said, "Don't worry. I'll ask security guards for help."

With that, Rebecca pushed the door open and got off the car.

Rebecca made a beeline for the security room. However, after just taking two steps, she suddenly came back and asked Abbot through the window, "Mr. Carter, it is not good that I took so many gifts from your mother the first time I met her, is it?"

Abbot, wearing a black sweater, leaned against his seat and said impatiently, "It's nothing to my family. Hurry to get people to move them out of my car. I'm in a rush."

Rebecca uttered, "Yes, sir!"

"That's exactly what I've been waiting for!" thought she inwardly.

Rebecca pleasantly brought two security guards and gave each 40 dollars for their help.

That was indeed a lot of gifts from Camila, and the two security guards came back and forth three times before they were done.

After that, Rebecca pretended to show her hospitality by asking, "Mr. Carter, would you like to chill at my place?"

Abbot met Rebecca's eyes through the window for a few seconds. Then, he rolled down the window and said solemnly, "Rebecca, has anyone ever told you to be reserved as a girl?" Rebecca thought inwardly, "Shoot. Can I take it back?"

Catching sight of Rebecca's stiffened expression, Abbot tightened his hold on the steering wheel slightly and stated in a softer tone. "It has been a while between you and me. To be honest, I really don't have eyes for you. Besides, I once had a fling with your cousin. It only does you good for me to turn you down."

Rebecca thought to herself, "What a nice guy you are!"

Getting no reply from Rebecca, Abbot craned his head out of the window and continued seriously, "Listen to me. Fall out of love for me, and fall for someone else!"

Rebecca was wordless as she thought inwardly, "Someone was really born without a brain."
