Ivy followed Christopher sweetly to a high-end restaurant called Cinderwood.

Those who could afford to visit the establishment were all rich and noble.

The restaurant’s manager naturally was always on his toes. He would always personally welcome the guests at the entrance, especially individuals like Christopher, who was considered a big shot of Norham.

She would have still looked gentle and amicable if one did not pay heed to her dainty hands that tightened into fists.

When Christopher clarified her identity, she’d even plastered on a charming smile.

The restaurant’s refined and petite dishes were a testament to the chef’s outstanding culinary skills.

Ivy was an exceptionally demanding person when it came to others and herself.

She had an extremely strict daily diet and only sampled several morsels from the lavish spread that Christopher ordered.

Not a single moment of Ivy’s time was spent idle as she was busy waiting on Christopher.

She would serve him salad in one moment, as it was good for his health, and fish in the next to improve his vision.

The view of how busy Ivy was sent Christopher into a trance, and he was reminded of Katherine.

In his memories, Katherine enjoyed cooking and was good at it, too. The dishes she made were comparable even to a hotel’s.

Unfortunately, he rarely went home and only tasted it a few times.

A smile appeared on the corners of his mouth at the recollection.

Ivy was beside herself with glee since she thought it was because of her.

Alas, the smile was replaced quickly by a frown after three seconds when Christopher began being ticked off by Katherine in his mind.

It was a challenge to decipher his mood with how fickle his emotions were, no matter how astute she was.

Ivy was secretly displeased to hear Christopher mentioning Kimberly.

Ivy was eager to learn how much Katherine meant to him at being presented with such a precious opportunity.

“Christopher, I didn’t expect so many things to happen at home after I’d gone abroad. Why did you and Katherine divorce so suddenly?”

Ivy’s heart was beating so hard as soon as the question left her l*ps.
