Emmanuel had rushed into the villa before Felix could come back to his
senses.
Resting his hands behind him, Felix remarked in a neutral tone, “Whatever. He
won’t dare to make a scene.”
Truth was, he would like to avoid fighting a young man like Emmanuel.
Besides, he was aware that Tobias was up to nothing good. If Tobias
succeeded, it was no different from declaring war between the Lenoirs and
the Quillens. The others would surely accuse Felix of indulging Tobias.
Moreover, he believed that Emmanuel’s priority was to rescue Mackenzie
instead of causing a scene. It was the most ideal outcome Felix would like to
see.
Therefore, he decided to stay out of the matter. If Tobias asked him to stop
Emmanuel, things would surely not end well.
“You have to be safe, Mackenzie.” Emmanuel could feel his heart hammering
against his chest and his blood boiling in his veins after he barged into the
villa.
Mackenzie had been nothing short of a goddess in his mind ever since he
first met her. I can’t promise I’ll stay calm if Tobias lays a finger on her!
Meanwhile, Tobias had removed Mackenzie’s coat. It was a sensual sight to
see as her bare arms were exposed.
“You’re turning me on, sweetheart.” Tobias‘ cheeks flushed in anticipation.
Even though he only removed her coat, he couldn’t help the urge to feel her
skin.
To his surprise, she opened her eyes all of a sudden. She watched him coldly,
giving off an intimidating aura.
The look took him by surprise. His hands stopped in the air as questions filled
his mind.

It wasn’t Tobias‘ first time drugging women. However, those women would
pass out within a few minutes. The women never woke up, no matter what he
did to them. Mackenzie was an exception–she stayed conscious until now.
The cold look on her face dealt no physical damage to him but shocked him
to the core.
“You want to act tough? As you wish.” Tobias was utterly angered. He took a
plate from the table and smashed it on her head.
-Mackenzie felt her vision blur, and she promptly lost consciousness.
Blood trickled down her face. The Icy Female CEO no longer tried to fight back.
“The men in Yeringham have their eyes on you, but you belong to me now.”
Tobias burst into a maniacal laugh. He reached toward her dress, trying to
tear it apart.
At that moment, a noise near the door caught his attention.
“Mackenzie!” Emmanuel kicked down the door and rushed into the living
room. The sight of Mackenzie’s disheveled look and the blood on her face
enraged him.
“You’re going to pay for this! I’ll kill you!”
Rage blinded Emmanuel’s vision. He menacingly walked toward Tobias.
“S–Stay away from me!” Tobias immediately let go of Mackenzie’s dress as
Emmanuel approached him with an intimidating aura. Blood drained from
Tobias‘ face as he staggered backward.
How did the loser come into the villa? I know from the beginning that I can’t
depend on the bodyguards, but what is Felix doing? He’s among the toughest
men in Yeringham!
Emmanuel ignored Tobias‘ words as he got closer to the shaking man.
Tobias was so frightened that his limbs gave out, and his voice got stuck in
his throat. It was as if he was facing the grim reaper.
“Go to hell!” Emmanuel kicked Tobias.
Tobias collapsed on the table and smashed it into half. He coughed out
blood, losing the strength to move.
“Mackenzie!” Emmanuel paid no mind to Tobias. Instead, he rushed to
Mackenzie’s side and checked on her.
