Unknown POV

The rain splattered on the glass, loud and deafening. The night sky lit up with the cracks of lightning. A thunder rumbled after it and it’s sound floated through the thick glass and pricked my ears. The air was wet and humid but none of it concerned me. My lips formed a thin line as I stared out, the unforeseeable weather didn’t show any sign of ever going. This was my safe place and maybe its being too long I have stayed hidden. It’s been years I have stayed behind these old, black walls just waiting for the right time.

“I am sorry. But give me a chance to fix this.” His voice filled the silence. I closed my eyes, irritation and anger built up inside me. None of this would happen if he would just stick to the plan. I was wrong to let amateurs stand on the front line, but it was necessary at that time to stay unseen. I wanted kill him this instant but then I need him to be alive. My plan needed him to be alive, until I don’t need him anymore. And frankly that time was nearing.

Hailey Johnson. She was a thorn in the side that no matter what I did I just couldn’t get rid of. She was never in the picture, up until that ungrateful witch prophesied her to be the so called savior. She was the only one standing in between me and my victory and no one can keep me away from my dream, not even some weird hybrid. She will pay dearly for her existence. But I need to take it slow. They will be expecting an attack and I need to catch them in surprise. Besides reinforcements are needed, so many vampires and wolves were dead. It’s time to build an army that was impenetrable.

I turned and watched him stand there with his head hanging down. I was disappointed to know he had failed me yet again. I needed to destroy Hailey Johnson and he promised me he would. Now I had to create a new plan. I was anxious knowing that time was running out and I cant afford to wait any longer. This was my last chance and this time I will do it myself. Its been long since I entered the field but perhaps it’s time to relieve myself and watch them quiver in fear. I will rise to rule over these wretched creatures. and even their beloved Mother Luna won’t be able to help them.

“Start gathering new recruits and this time choose more carefully.” I ordered. he nodded obediently. I looked at the small, thin boy stand next to him. Colin was not my choice but Logan believed he was what we need and frankly I couldn’t waste my time searching for another. “You get what you need and be prepared. Next time I don’t want any mistakes.” I said lowly and watched the human smirk at me. He was brave for his figure and his eyes looked deadly and sinister, even to me. Who knew a small human could be so bad. I was internally impressed but I didn’t let him know. A young maiden stood beside him, looking at me in fear. I had no clue who or what she was doing her, but the entwined hands between her and Colin. Well she better not get in my way

I turned back to the window and looked out, imaging Hailey’s dead body reflect from it. She will die and I will be the one to do it. The tough brought some peace in my mind, but unless it turned to the truth I would not sit still. It will be fun because I plan on ridding ever variable from that equation. Before i go for Hailey, I will turn her life into a living hell by killing each and everyone she hold dear. Maybe I’ll start with that handsome mate of hers. Poor guy didn’t deserve this but well he has to pay for turning out to be her mate. Hena will be next, she was the reason for this turmoil and killing her may quiet down the flames inside.

“What do you plan on doing now?” Logan’s small voice asked. I chuckled and turned my head to the side, giving him a view of my face.

“To kill the entire black blood pack, this time I’ll do it myself. Hailey needs to know messing with me has grave consequences.” A devilish laugh left my mouth, as I imagined the taste of her blood on my lips.
