Isabel was curious about how he was doing in the company.

She asked, "Roland, can you tell me what happened after you came back here?"

Roland hugged her into his arms and said, "Two months ago, when I first came back..."

He told Isabel a few things that happened

He worked hard and secured a big deal that Decker had been working on for years and it made the shareholders look at him differently. The shareholders were once friends with his late grandmother and father, so based on his recently outstanding performance, they took his side.

Then, his grandfather got to him and made him go back to Rockwells' old mansion. His grandfather tried to persuade him to leave the company but he refused.

He continued working hard and secured a few more deals, which strengthened his position in the company.

He made it sound easy but only he knew how difficult it had been.

Besides, Decker never stopped targeting him from the dark. Even his grandfather was trying to pull him down secretly.

Isabel's chest clenched knowing that he had been fighting alone.

However, it was his fault for leaving her without saying a word and making her think that he wanted to break up. He deserved it.

She hummed a reply and no longer said a word.

Then, her stomach started growling.

Embarrassed, she turned away.

Roland put his hand on her belly and rubbed it. He smiled and asked, "Hungry?"

She nodded. She had not eaten dinner, of course, she was hungry.

Roland carried her out of the bed.

She asked, "Where are you taking me?”

To have dinner."

Isabel was more embarrassed than before. She was tired but she could still walk.

Besides, they had just finished a few rounds of rough sex.

On second thought, Isabel said, "Why don’t we order takeaway?"

"It's not healthy eating takeaway."

He then put his jacket on her shoulder and carried her outside.

Isabel quickly said, "Put me down. I can walk.”

Roland pursed his lips. "Okay."

He only put her down when the elevator reached the lobby.

Isabel quickly put on a mask and a cap and walked out of the elevator with him.

When they walked out of the hotel, it was already past midnight. Most of the restaurants were closed.

Ten minutes later, they arrived at an expensive restaurant that served supper. The restaurant served some of the best cuisines of Southboro.

However, the VIP rooms were all booked and Isabel's stomach was growling.

Roland brought her to the corner, near the window, and sat down.

A while later, the dishes were served. She took her mask off and started eating.

Roland looked at her as he ate.

The window was half opened, and the sea breeze was able to enter.

While they were having supper, a burst of wicked laughter came from behind.

"Hey, isn't that Master Rockwell? Eating out at this hour?”

A few drunk men came down from the room upstairs and came over to Roland.

Then, they spotted Isabel who sat opposite Roland.

One of the men teased her, "Who might this be? Master Rockwell's girlfriend?”

"Master Rockwell has a girlfriend? Let me have a look!”

They hastened over to the table.

Roland frowned coldly.

Isabel quickly put on her mask.

The men were everything but good, so Isabel did not want to reveal herself to them. Neither would she want them to recognize her as a celebrity.

If they found out she was with Roland, they would give Roland a hard time and criticize him at the company.
