Decker pulled Isabel closer to him with a grim, scheming smile.

"Isabel, Roland has gone and dumped you. He's not going to help you anymore. Besides, even if he wants to help you, there's nothing he can do for you. I'm the only one who can help you now. If you want to save your acting career, you should be wise enough to know to not get only my nerves," he said with gnashing teeth.

His gaze was dark and ominous.

If Isabel did not give in to him, he was going to do everything in his power to ruin her without repair.

Isabel grimaced tightly and promptly proceeded to spit right in his face.” Ptoo!"

Her spit splattered directly on his face.

Decker winced instinctively when he felt the projectile slap across his face, and his expression darkened like never before. Before he could open his eyes again, Isabel kicked against his knee with the shin of her knees.

Argh!

Decker yelped in pain and let go of her.

Isabel took the opportunity to shove him away from her, then she immediately ran out of the elevator.

She made sure to get one last piece out before she disappeared from Deckers sight. "You want me to stop getting on your nerves? I have some advice for you: don't ever show up in front of me ever again. That'll give both of us some peace of mind!"

With that, she fled from the building without looking back even once.

Decker remained inside the elevator. He was doubled over in pain with a horrible scowl across his face. His eyes were dark with contempt and some time passed before he hissed, "Just you wait, Isabel!"

He was going to do everything in his power to ruin her completely. He was going to thoroughly tear down her career so that she would have no choice but to submit to him!

After a while, he stomped out of the elevator.

He stepped out of the apartment building just in time to see Isabel who had just gotten into a car by the side of the road. He immediately grew alarmed and hurried to his car.

There was still some lingering pain throbbing in his lower abdomen.

He winced in pain and roared at his driver, 'Tail that car in front!"

He wanted to see where Isabel was planning to flee to since he was going to take her by force if he had to!

Just as the driver stomped on the gas pedal and they were quickly approaching the car in front, his phone suddenly rang.

He grumpily pulled the phone out of his pocket. The moment he noticed the name shown on the display, his furious mood was immediately suppressed by half.

It was a call from a certain executive in Rockwell Corporation whom his father had assigned to train him for many years.

He answered the phone and asked rather formally, "Uncle Tom, what's the matter?”

The answering voice was that of a middle-aged man, whose voice was quivering with anxiety, "Decker, stop wasting time in Westchester and get back to Southboro right now!"

Decker's eyes flashed in alert. "Did something happen?”

"Roland has just come back to Southboro. He came with the cavalry this time, and it looks like he's gunning for Rockwell Corporation. You need to come back right now!"

"I'm heading back right now!"

This immediately took his mind off of whatever he was originally going for. He turned to the driver and ordered with an aggressive snap, "Airport, now!"

Meanwhile, Isabel returned to her place somewhere in the suburbs after roughly half an hour's drive.

"Miss, welcome back.” The bodyguard posted by the door greeted her with a smile and opened the door for her.

Isabel smiled at him cordially before walking inside.

She was greeted by a gentle breeze that blew against her, and her nostrils were filled with the familiar scent and presence of home.

This was a welcome relief to her mood. She sighed tiredly before heading into the house.

Aunt Tonya was chatting with two older housemaids in the living room when she noticed Isabel stepping in through the front door. She instantly perked up and announced her return to everyone in the house, her voice echoing through the halls.

In no time, everyone showed up in the living room to see her.
