With Morpheus' involvement, the police didn't slack off and quickly found Rebecca.

That day, Rebecca was preparing to escape from a small port. The boat she had found was an illegally operating one.

As she was about to board, piercing sirens sounded nearby.

The boat owner, enraged upon hearing the sirens, grabbed Rebecca by her hair and pushed her into the water.

Rebecca screamed for help, but he roared, "I didn't expect you to be sent by the cops!"

"I'm not..." Rebecca choked on water. "Sir, let's leave now. Your boat is fast. As long as we reach the open sea, no one will catch you!"

"Dream on!" The boat owner wanted to strangle her. "Do you not understand? These sirens are from the royal guards! Who did you bitch provoke?"

Rebecca was dumbfounded. Being a foreigner, she naturally didn't understand the local affairs in the Southeast Aciatic region.

The police and royal guards quickly caught up, armed, and surrounded them.

Rebecca turned pale and trembled all over, her gaze gradually turning dull.

As a special prisoner, Rebecca was detained in an exceptionally unique place. The high walls surrounding her were taller than those of regular prisons, covered in high-voltage electrical grids that even a fly couldn't escape.

She glanced up at the gloomy sky.

In Southeast Aciatic, such weather was almost unheard of.

"Number 2034!" The prison warden's loud voice shattered the tranquility.

Rebecca stood up, and the clinking of her shackles echoed. "Here!"

"Someone's here for a visit." The warden gave her an impatient look. "You've got ten minutes. Make it quick!"

Rebecca hesitated for a moment, and then two female prison guards escorted her out.

Other guards whispered behind, "She's lucky to still be alive for harming Prince Christopher!"

"Yeah, she doesn't even realize who she is! Ms. Hamerton is a guest of the royal family. I heard she treated her well before... Hah! This kind of person, biting the hand that feeds her!" "Her days here won't be comfortable!"

Listening to these murmurs, Rebecca remained expressionless.

During that time, she indeed had a tough time. The inmates there were all desperados, coming from the lowest stratum. They used the vilest means and most ruthless tactics that rendered her powerless. Although she had faced hardships since childhood, it was minor compared to this place.

From initial fear and anger to feeling nothing, she was like a zombie now.

However, she could guess who it might be visiting today. She regained her composure and purposefully checked the mirror as they walked through the corridor, hoping her hair wasn't messy. "What are you looking at?!" One female guard slapped her head. "Behave yourself and hurry up!"

Rebecca dared not retort, trembling as she followed behind. When she entered the visiting room, however the person sitting there wasn't the one she had been longing for

was

someone whose gender was hard to

pinpoint.

Rebecca was stunned, but the person smiled, introducing themselves, "Hello, I'm Wynn Jeter from Flinge."

"Wynn... Wynn Jeter?"

Rebecca had a faint impression of this name, having heard it a few times from Morpheus. This person was one of the few who could talk to Morpheus back in Flinge.

"You don't know me, do you?" Wynn

sat down, crossing his arms. Though he smiled, it didn't reach his eyes. "Morpheus asked me to come from Flinge to attend his and Sephy's wedding and witness their happiest moment!"

"You..." Rebecca's heart clenched, feeling as if an unbreakable vine entwined her.

"Let me tell you the truth. Morpheus doesn't want to see you. Despite your numerous requests to meet him... Hah! What makes you think he'd want to see you when you want to harm the person he loves the most?"

"You... scum!" Rebecca lost her composure and shouted, only to be restrained by the guards.

"Rebecca, just behave yourself." Wynn's gaze was full of disgust. "Spending the rest of your life here is already letting you off easy!"

"I want to see Morpheus... I want to see him!"

"You can forget about that for the rest of your life!" Wynn sneered. "You are an arsonist and nearly killed Sephy. How could Morpheus ever forgive you?"

"What's so good about Persephone... She's all high and mighty. Does she truly love Morpheus like I do? Morpheus' blinded by her!"

"Enough!" Wynn suddenly stood up, glaring at her. "Sephy's sincerity doesn't need your judgment, and you're nowhere near deserving Morpheus for the rest of your life!"

"What?"

"He's Morpheus Orton, didn't you know?" Wynn emphasized each word. "He's the general of this country, the war god of Southeast Aciatic!"

A tinge of shock crossed Rebecca's face, her eyes widening.

So... he wasn't just a simple fighter nor a small-time thug surviving in the underground scene in Flinge.

"You've underestimated Morpheus

too much and oversimplified his

feelings for Sephy." Wynn looked at her. "In all these years, I've

encountered many psychologists because I have gender dysphoria. I wanted to be a woman... but those so-called psychologists were either charlatans or mocked and

suppressed me. They treated me as an anomaly, and they were the ones who acted superior!"
