Persephone pointed at them. "These two herbs together are for promoting blood circulation and removing bruises. Soaking them in bathwater and using them to wash can reduce swelling and alleviate pain..." Morpheus gazed at her steadily. Yet, Persephone interpreted his complex expression as his surprise.

Waving her hand, she chuckled and continued. "No need to thank me. These are small matters to me! And you don't have to worry about the proportion. It's absolutely precise!"

Morpheus narrowed his eyes. The herbs were quite common, but not in Flinge, not even familiar. However, in Southeast Aciatic... His heart lurched, and his gaze toward Persephone deepened.

"Hey, this is the culmination of my lifelong learning!" Persephone looked at him. "You should go to the pharmacy for them when you have time!"

After a prolonged silence, Morpheus asked in a low voice, "How do you know these prescriptions?"

Persephone felt proud. What was so difficult about it? Her grandmother was a descendant of the Southeast Aciatic Irwins! The Irwins were well-known there, serving as imperial physicians. However, her heart jolted for some reason as she took in Morpheus' expression. In the end, she left herself a way out and made up a reason. "I... My family has been practicing medicine for generations, collecting some rare and unusual prescriptions. As such, I've been exposed to it since childhood and picked up some medical skills."

"This is a prescription your family collected?"

Persephone nodded without hesitation, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that Morpheus' expression was peculiar.

Morpheus stared at the prescription for a long time. Perhaps Persephone didn't know much about the pharmacies here, just as he didn't know her true origins.

He took the paper with some doubt and forced a smile. "Thank you for your effort. Come out for breakfast."

Persephone flashed a playful smile and followed him.

The croissants and coffee were still warm, at the perfect temperature. She was excited. This was the first time she had something warm for breakfast since she came to his house.

She couldn't comprehend why Morpheus was so fond of cold drinks and meals, like a primitive man, just eating beef straight out of the fridge.

Today, however, he finally had some warmth and a bit of liveliness.

Persephone stole a glance at him. A sip of warm and sweet coffee burst through her taste buds, soaking into her heart like the morning sun. Her face reddened quietly, and she lowered her head.

"I'll be taking a break for some time." Morpheus' cold voice sounded. "In the coming days... we might be seeing each other from morning till night."

Persephone paused, still with her head lowered. In the past few days, he had been leaving early and coming home late. Except for meals, they hardly crossed paths. But in the days to come, he would be home every day.

Well, considering his injuries, he needed proper rest.

"If you feel uncomfortable, just stay in the room during the day and lock the door." Morpheus continued to say, "I've given the room to you, so you can do whatever you want inside.

"And... about meals." He glanced at her. "I'm not too skilled at cooking, but I should be better than you. So, I'll handle the cooking these days. Just let me know what you want to eat, and I'll try my best-" "No!" Persephone interrupted him. "You're injured. It's better for me to take care of you!"

Morpheus widened his eyes and couldn't help but laugh.

Persephone taking care of him? He could barely handle her applying medicine for him. How could he dare to let her take care of him?
