when you get here. Don't go anywhere. I'll go and pick you up from the airport."

When Ninian heard her sister's serious instructions, she did not know whether she should laugh or cry.

She was already a grown-up, but her family still treated her as if she was a kid. It was as though Melody was afraid that she would be kidnapped at the airport.
