Chapter 72 

“Hey Acella, who is this person? Is she your new bodyguard? Tell her that we are friends!” Nadia said. She had never treated Acella well before this but she didn’t have a choice now. She needs to get close to Acella if she wants to be with Axiel. She had. long abandoned her shame. 

Ciara rolled her eyes. She won’t even waste her time trying to talk to women as dumb as Nadia. They all think that they can get a free pass to do whatever they want just because they have a pretty face. 

Talready said that I don’t know you. We aren’t friends. I don’t care what you did with Axiel. It has nothing to do with me so please stop bothering me!” Acella said. 

“You heard Acella, Lady. I won’t let you off if I catch you bothering her ever again. Stay the  away from her from i now on!” Ciara said. 

Nadia wanted to argue but she wisely shut her mouth when she saw the cold look on Ciara’s face. It didn’t matter if Ciara is a bodyguard or not. Nadia had some brains and she could tell that Ciara isn’t someone that she wants to mess with. 

She wisely moved out of the way and Ciara and Acella left the bar. 

Nadia stomped her foot on the ground and she went back to Bella and Steve disappointed. 

“What happened Nadia? Who was that woman with Acella? And what the hell was that kid doing here?” Bella asked. 

T’d be dammed if I know too! I don’t know what the hell has happened to her! She used to be such a timid girl who could not even say anything to me whenever the both of us met but she just said that she doesn’t know me! She even let that bodyguard of hers push me away! What the heck happened to her?” Nadia immediately started ranting to Bella and Steve. 

Bella shook her head. She had no idea why Nadia was so stubborn and why she didn’t want to give up yet. “You have already seen that neither of the brother or sister pair want anything to do with you. Acella won’t even show you politeness so how are you going to use her to get close to Axiel? Anyone with eyes can tell that this is a lost course! You should focus on the people who really care about your Bella said. She looked over at Steve as she said this. 

Nadia could tell what Bella was getting at but she didn’t say anything. Between her and Steve, the both of them know what the relationship between them is like. But she doesn’t need to explain it to Bella because she will just try to get her to give Steve a real chance. She doesn’t need such complications in her life. 

“This is all that bodyguard’s fault! If she didn’t stop me. I might have been able to take Acella home and I would have even met Axiel then! That damn bodyguard, who asked her to get involved in my business?” Nadia asked. As usual, she will blame everyone else but herself when her plans don’t go the way she wanted them to go. 

Steve had a sarcastic smile on his face. “Do you think that that woman is a bodyguard?” Steve asked. He had seen Ciara just now. To think that Nadia mistook Ciara for a bodyguard, does Nadia not have eyes at all? 

Or is her brain filled with water? 

Nadia looked at Steve who still had a sarcastic smile on his face. Her guts told her that he knows that she wolf. But she didn’t want to have the conversation in front of Bella at all. 

“I guess that she was a little too well dressed for a guard but Axiel pays the wolves who work in the palace really well. I guess she dressed up really well for a girls night out with Acella?” Nadia asked. Even as she said this, she didn’t believe it. It just did not sound plausible at all. 

But she has no other explanation. 

Steve snorted and looked away 

from Nadia. He no longer cared about what she talked about with Nadia.

Instead, his mind were filled with thoughts of Ciara. There was a time when the both of them had been in love. She had wanted to marry him. 

But then he went and  things up. No worries though, since he has come back, he has no intentions of letting her go. She is going to belong to him, whether she likes it or not… 

He let her go last time, he won’t make that mistake again. 

“What was the meaning of that?” Nadia asked as soon as she and Steve entered her house. 

“What do you mean?” He asked. After seeing Ciara, Steve was no longer in the mood to cater to Nadia’s arrogance. 

He just wanted to go to bed so he can plan out how to approach Ciara when he wakes up

“Are you ignoring me? I’m asking you why you were so nonchalant earlier at the bar after Acella and that she wolf left! No matter what Bella said, you didn’t reply to her. Whatever happened to you?” Nadia asked. 

Steve rolled his eyes. Nadia really had guts. Why does she think that she can question his actions? 

“What makes you think that you can question my actions Nadia? I thought that the deal was just to have fun with each other until we got tired and had to go our seperate ways. Since when do I have to entertain you and your friend?” Steve asked. After Ciara left, he was too preoccupied with thoughts of Ciara to care about whatever Nadia said. 

But he didn’t care. Why should he? It’s not as if he and Nadia have anything more than a physical relationship between the both of them. 

Nadia looked at Steve for a few seconds. Then, she started talking again 

“Where do you know that woman from Steve? The one who was with Acella. The guard. Where do you know her from?” Nadia asked. 

Steve burst out laughing when Nadia called Ciara a guard. She is the beta of two powerful Alphas Michael and Miles 

How dare she call her a guard? But Steve did not want to tell Nadia Ciara’s identity. She should continue thinking whatever helps her sleep at night. 

“You want to know how I know Ciara? Fine. I’m going to tell you. She’s the reason why I’m here. She and I used to date in the past but then stuff happened between us and we broke up. And oh, she’s definitely not a guard!” Steve said. He won’t tell Nadia more than this. 

Nadia nodded her head. She already suspected this. However, why does her heart hurt? 

Why does it hurt so much to hear him admit that he dated that she wolf?
