“Enough!” A middle–aged woman interrupted with a gentle smile, “You two have always been at each other’s throats since you were kids Haven’t you had enough?” 

Her tone and expression were soothing 

She tumed to Dorothy. “You’re all grown up, dreaming of marrying Bryant, and still acting childish?”
