Envy the Snow

When I heard the woman in the next booth say, “Love him, don’t throw love away.”

I turned to her and feigned to pray that one day my life would be that way.

Love is unspoken, also unknown to me, like color is for the blind to see.

“I love you,” those words are key for my life and setting me free.

That lady in the booth, what can she know? Has she ever stopped and envied the snow?

Or has she ever felt so low, as to attempt the end, or how far she could go?

For me, love is a dream, never real or there, so hopes are banished, I am never to care.

Books and songs make it hard to bare, but life goes on, frozen in midair.

I do not want pity, nor sadness too, because love is deserved for all, even you.

I am just unlucky, it is true, so love as she says, it is always overdue.

Everyone’s Laughter

Everyone’s laughter, their smiles shining.

Their friendship living, and always binding. The sound of their fun, the times of joy they enjoy. Never to make fun of one another, and never just to annoy.

My friends are all around, far and near. I will never be any happier, and I will not shed a tear.

Their laughter in my mind, their sweet compliments always with me. I wish that time could stop, and this would always be.

Fairy Tale Dreams

I love to think there is such things, as witches, warlocks, and even Kings.

But I’ve dreamed about them for such a long time, that my dreams could be sold by the dime.

I’ve dreamed of a prince, coming to rescue me. But every day after that, I’d figure it wasn’t meant to be.

I’d love to dream, those amazing dreams again, but I’ve kinda given up hope after the age of ten.

Yes, I think we all thrive on dreams, so that we have hopes and try to figure out what seems.

I want it to be real, but nothing really is. That’s why I still dream those dreams, for without them, I would miss.

I might live on hopes and dreams, but I shall die happy one day, for I can’t wait to figure out what seems.
