Chapter 56 Planning Revenge. 

“No! No! It’s not true! Benedict, you have to believe me!” Yelena had gone into a panic. Didn’t Jonathan already agree to accuse Calista? Why did he suddenly turn on them? What was Sterling doing? 

Quincy was also stunned by this turn of events. Didn’t her mother say that everything was already settled? Why didn’t Jonathan follow their plan?

“Mr. Wolford, if I were you, I wouldn’t go against the Fairchilds. This is Horington, not Summerbank. And even if we were in Summerbank, even Harvey would not be so reckless towards Mr. Kallum. You have already crossed the line.” 

Sterling contorted his handsome face in anger, “And why does Kallum want to interfere?!” 

The man stared at Sterling as if he was stupid, “Because Ms. Stafford is Mr. Kallum’s fiancée!” 

But didn’t Kallum hate his fiancée very much?! 

Sterling didn’t get to say this, and watched as Kallum’s men took Jonathan away.

But because Sterling had suddenly interfered, if she didn’t manage to get Yelena out of the house this time, it would be hard to deal with them. 

Wyatt saw that Calista didn’t go to the hospital with the rest of her family, so he ran over to offer her a lift somewhere. 

He didn’t know who to believe anymore. If Yelena was the mastermind, then was Quincy really innocent? He refused to think about this question, but regretted suspecting Calista. 

But before he could get close to Calista, someone walked out from the shadows and pulled Calista into his embrace.

Calista nearly rolled her eyes at him, but Kallum had indeed gotten her out of this sticky situation, so she quietly said, “Thanks for today.” 

“What are you thanking me for!” Kallum looked as if he couldn’t care less, but there was a coldness in his eyes. “The Wolfords have always been a very hateful bunch of people, and I wouldn’t bother myself with him if he didn’t do anything to offend me. But since he actually stretched his arm so far out and tried to harm you, he’s lucky I didn’t chop off his hand!” 

Calista felt touched for a moment, but just for a moment. 

“He is very irritating indeed. Do you want to teach him a lesson he’ll never forget?” asked Calista. 

Kallum was walking side by side with her under the streetlights and his bodyguards were following behind them. When he heard what Calista said, he didn’t shoot it down, and asked with some interest, “How?” 

Calista smiled calmly. “According to what I know, he’s here for the land in Citraine.” 

She tried to recall all the details of what happened in her previous life, and slowly explained. “The Wolfords want to build a private estate of bungalows for the wealthy there, and the owner of the land is going to sell the land to the highest bidder. The Wolfords are bent on getting that piece of land, so what you need to do is to push up the price of that piece of land.”

Calista looked up at Kallum’s handsome face and felt some confusion in her heart. She really didn’t want to be in a relationship right now, especially with Kallum. But why did she feel herself falling deeper and deeper for Kallum? 

She opened and then closed her mouth, but seeing that Kallum had helped her twice today, she decided to be a little gentler on him. 

“If I said that actually I don’t like you anymore, and what happened earlier today was just a 

misunderstanding, what would you do?”
