Her Secret (part 1)

In my world there are humans, werewolves, vampires and witches. Humans are the majority and live in the cities and they know all about these supernatural beings. Vampires live in castles. One castle will house all the vampires of that “family” in the area. They mainly come out at night and are cruel creatures. They feed from humans till they are drank dry. Demonic witches, who practice dark magic, will help vampires with whatever they want. They love torture and death. Their covens are in the woods near the castles. Werewolves live in the forests surrounding the cites. You’ll find around three packs near each city. They protect the humans who live there. Virginal witches, who practice light magic or good magic, help the werewolves. Their covens are right on the outside of wolf packs. They only want peace and to protect humans. It’s the weres’ goal to rid the world of vampires all together, as well as the demonic witches. There is a leader over each. The witches have the elder witch for each coven. Vampires have a count in each castle. Werewolves have an alpha over each pack and an alpha king over all packs. The alpha king helps keep the packs in line. You will have wolves that break wolf law that needs to go beyond the alpha or it’s the alpha breaking the laws. Most packs want to protect humans for the good of mankind but a very few only protect the wealthy humans for a profit. I, unfortunately, am a member of one of those packs. The Shadow Pack. To make it worse, I’m an adopted human. My name is Jerica. My pack feels that humans are beneath them. They don’t want to kill them but they don’t care about them. So, if they have to protect them, they’re going to make money doing it. Since they feel humans are so low, they never liked me. My parents died in a rogue attack when I was 10. I was moved to the pack house, taken out of school and turned into a maid. I’m lower than the omegas here. I have a room in the basement that is small with a little bathroom. I have an uncomfortable twin bed and one chest of drawers with a small mirror. The only clothes I have are a couple of jeans, a few t-shirts, one pair of tennis shoes that’s seen better days and one jacket for when it gets cold. Luckily we don’t have really cold winters in the south where I’m from. They keep me plain. I’m not allowed makeup and my long black hair stays up in a ponytail all day. None of the she wolves like that I have a model body, am 5’8” and have very unique bright blue-aqua eyes. My eyes with my black hair and pale skin really make me stand out. A human shouldn’t stand out over a wolf. I’m not allowed to look any wolf here in the eyes. I’m only allowed to talk when spoken to. Every morning I get up and help the omegas make and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I’m last to get a plate so I get what what I get and am supposed to be happy with it. I clean after every meal as well. I also have chores of cleaning the pack house and anything else the alpha ask of me. That’s been my life for close to 11 years now. I have one friend, Pam. She sneaks in my room when she can and gives me an apple or banana and talks with me for a minute. She wishes she could help me escape but it’s more dangerous in the woods alone. I could run into a rogue, a vampire or demonic witch. A simple human could never survive. I’d never make it to a city, even if it’s only a 30 minute drive away. I sure as heck couldn’t get a car. At least they don’t physically harm me here. No one knows who left me at the pack border as a baby. My parents loved me even though I was human and wanted to try to go to a new pack but it’s not a simple task. Then the rogue attack happened. I’ll be ok though. I’ll just keep my head down and do as asked and I’ll be fine. That’s better than death. Right?
